Tobias' Sister (Divergent Fanfiction)

Chapter 2-Tobias

"I'm going out."father says and walks out the door. I stand up dizzy and try to make it to Casey's room. Falling here and there I make it. Dad hit her in the head with every book she brought home. She was hit 3 times.

"Casey? She was knocked out. Probably has a concussion. I pick her up and yet again, try to walk. Luckily Casey is light. Once outside, I still stumble, barely able to stand. I make it halfway down the Abnegation sector. Then everything goes black.

"Boy? Girl? Are you alright?"a man asks. I wake up suddenly. "Your okay. You need a hospital."him and another Abnegation man lifted me up into their arms. I looked over. Someone had Casey but she was still unconscious.

"How did this happen? Can you speak?"another man asks. I moan. "Ni he can't. Is that your sister?" I try and nod. We are being carried to the hospital. "What are your names?"he asks.

"Tobias and Cassandra." I tell them weakly. I cough up blood. Gross. We are carried inside the hospital.

"They need care immediately! This boy Tobias, blacked out and the girl, Cassandra, is unconscious. They are brother and sister."one of the men explains.

A day later, I feel better but not good. Wait, where us Casey?

"Hello?" I say weakly. A nurse walks in. "Where is my sister?" I ask.

"She is in the next room. How are you feeling Tobias?"she asks. "Now that you are awake I am going to ask you a few questions. What is your last name? How old are you? Do you have any parents?"she asks more and more.

"I am 14 and I have a dad. My mom passed away giving birth to my sister." I cough up blood. I'm afraid I'll either run out of coughs or blood.

"Okay, well you need to eat. Just to make you feel better, Cassandra hasn't woken up yet. It was a pretty bad concussion. She will probably be out for 3-4 days. My name is Bailey if you ever need me."she explains.

Bailey brings me oatmeal. Woohoo. How will Casey eat? Oh well, I'm not allowed to be curious anyway.

"Tobias?"dad walks in. "Why are you in the hospital? Where is Cassandra?"he asks.

"You beat us so bad that Cassandra has a huge concussion."he raises his eyebrows.

"Marcus? Are they alright? It's Natalie." That was Mrs. Prior. My dad's "right hand man's" wife.

"Tobias is okay. Cassandra has a concussion."he explains like its nothing.

"How are they so hurt?"she asks. Sometimes its suprising that people can't hear the screams.

"Oh you know, mean Dauntless. I appreciate you coming Natalie. I will step out so you guys can talk." Marcus walks out.

"So Dauntless did this huh?" Natalie asks. I shake my head. "I thought not. What really happened?"she seems curious.

"Uh.....Marcus did this to us." I start to cry a bit and she wipes the tear.

"Are you worried about Casey?" I nod and cough up blood. Geez. "Don't forget to eat."she hands me the bowl Marcus took away earlier. Mrs.Prior is acting like a mother to me. I smile and she rubs my face. My hand is shaking as I reach for the spoon. She holds it. "Are you okay?" I nod. When I do get the spoon that shakes too.

"I don't need to eat anyway." I say.

"Yes you do you don't want to get sick." she helps me sit up.

"You don't have to do this." I tell her. Something in her eyes answers me. I like this 10 minute mom.
