"Cassandra, Tobias. You may come out now. You have school today. Get ready." Dad opens the door. I walk out and Tobi follows.
In my room I look at my textbooks. I'm not very smart. I am in 6th grade and have a 2nd grade everythung level. I walk into the kitchen and pick up a piece of toast.
"You do not eat what has not been given to you." Dad says slapping my hand. He picks up a hot pan and burns my neck with it. I just take a deep breath.

While walking to school an Erudite trips me and laughs.
"Watch it Stiff!"he snickers.
"Jason!"another Erudite calls out. She had pretty brown curls in her hair that brought out her big brown eyes. She runs to help me up. "Are you okay?" I nod. "I'm Skylar. Are you sure your okay, you have a cut on your shoulder."from dad. I nod again.
"I'm Cassandra."I hold out my hand. Skylar was my age. How...odd that...you know. God I really am stupid.
"You look familiar, are you in my advanced English class?"she asks. Skylar was nice but something tells me that she isn't 100% Erudite.
"No probably not. I might look familiar as that dumb girl the Erudite force Dauntless to slam against the lockers." I smile and put a loose blonde haur behind my ear. She smiles and laughs too. Tobias is smiling in the distance but his expression changes quickly.
"I hate to break this up ladies but Cassandra no friends allowed, I'm so sorry." Tobias says when he walks over. My smile fades, he really was sorry.
"Bye Skylar." I say hanging my head.
"Bye Cassandra,"she gives me a hug. "See you later alligator!" I laugh even though I'm not quite sure what an alligator is.
While we are walking I wonder if dad will find out about Skylar. I guess I should worry about my classes. Tobi must have noticed me thinking.
"Are you okay?"he asks. I snap out of my thoughts.
"Yeah, just thinking about the point of going to school when I am going to fail anyway." I say kicking the ground.
