"You're really throwing a party? You said you hated parties," Kim Ara looked up at her friend in surprise.

Hyunjin grinned at her, then shrugged casually.

"I hate going  to parties, I never said I hated throwing them," he opened his locker and chucked his bag inside as Ara pulled out her books for math.

She paused to think about it, then realised it was true: Hyunjin had never said he hated throwing parties.

Then she glared at him, "you never said you hated going to them either! You only said you hated parties."

He rolled his eyes at her then pushed her away, "class is starting soon. Just come to my house at seven. Bring your friends if you wanna."

"That's not how parties work! You have to give them an invitation. You didn't even give me an invitation?" Ara shot him a look, but the boy just stuck his tongue out at her like an immature little child.

"Don't lecture me, four-eyes. I know how to throw a party!"

Ara blushed and turned away.

She half-mindedly pushed her thick-rimmed glasses up her nose and bit her lip.

He always teases me about them. He's so mean! She thought, hurrying to class and consumed by embarrassment.

She sat down on her window seat next to Park Semi, her best friend.

Semi was really popular because she was smart, pretty, and rich, but unlike the other girls, she wasn't snobby.

She was actually nice, and that's why Ara was friends with her.

They exchanged a smile and Ara peered at the teacher before whispering to her, "did Hyunjin invite you to his party?"

Semi rolled her eyes and whispered back, "yeah, he practically 'invited' everyone in the whole class."

Everyone in the whole class? Even... him? Her eyes wandered over to a guy sitting at a table on the other side of the room.

She sighed dreamily as the wind tousled his sparkling blonde hair.

Sure, he was just leaning on his arm and staring into the distance, but his chocolate brown eyes seemed to be glowing.

But Lee Felix was too good for her.

He was just so perfect. He had it all; grades, personality, looks- damn, he was just so adorable.

It was surprising that he didn't have a girlfriend yet. He probably dated someone at some point. He has to have, it's crazy if he hadn't.

Yet approaching him was really hard since he was always surrounded by people.

When he wasn't with his popular gang of friends, Felix was flocked by a crowd of girls trying to get his number.

Except for now, since class was in progress, even still, all the girls were gawking at him.

He was like a cloud to her, far away and out of reach.

She couldn't approach him because she was too nervous.

But to her, Felix was her first love, and she was head over heels for him.

It all started in middle school, when Ara was having lunch in the cafeteria with Semi and her brother, Yang Jeong-in.

They were talking about Semi's birthday party next weekend when Ara's brother suddenly appeared with Felix and a few other guys she didn't know.
