DISCUSS WHO MA-Y-Y...
The world around me was turned into an eerie stillness, the silence so profound that it felt like time had frozen. My heart was pounding as I looked around frantically, searching for any sign of Elizabeth. She was supposed to be here, but she was nowhere to be seen. My mind was racing with questions, and my anxiety was mounting with each passing moment. Why wasn't the time starting? What was going on? The weight of the unknown was crushing me, and I felt completely lost in the midst of it all. Negative thoughts began to swarm around me like a cloud of angry bees, making it hard to think clearly. And yet, I knew that I couldn't leave this place, not without putting myself in grave danger. So I stood there, frozen in time, waiting for some kind of sign or direction.
The passing of each second felt like a lifetime, as I sat alone in the dense forest. The gentle breeze rustled through the leaves, and the occasional chirping of the birds was the only sound that broke the creepy silence. I was surrounded by towering trees and thick bushes, which seemed to stretch on for miles. The limited light filtered through the leaves, casting intricate patterns on the forest floor. As the minutes turned into hours, I felt a growing sense of despair. I was alone and had no means of communication. The days dragged on, and I began to lose track of time. The terror of my isolation was broken only by the occasional rustling of the leaves. Despite my growing fear, I refused to give up hope. I spent my days searching for signs of life, hoping that someone would come to my rescue. But as the weeks passed, I began to realize that I was truly alone. The forest was my prison, and there was no escape. Finally, I decided to leave the safety of my cabin that I'd been in for the duration of the game and venture out into the unknown. With a deep breath, I stood up, my heart pounding in my chest. I took a step forward, and then another, my feet shuffling across the forest floor. I knew that the risk I was taking could be fatal but it was better than an eternity alone.
I hesitated, my heart pounding in my chest. "Elizabeth?" I whispered, my voice barely audible as she aimed the gun directly at my face. The cold metal glimmered in the dim light, sending shivers down my spine. A sinister smile played on Elizabeth's lips as she began to speak, her voice dripping with a chilling calmness. "Hello Melodie," she greeted, her words laced with a sense of anticipation. "I've been waiting for you." Fear consumed me, causing my body to tremble uncontrollably. I could sense the danger that stood before me. "W-What do you mean?" I stammered, my voice quivering with terror. Elizabeth's face remained straight, almost detached from the gravity of the situation. "Let's cut to the chase," she said, her tone unwavering. "I can bring back Cody with the snap of my fingers." The mere mention of Cody's name ignited a flicker of hope within me. He meant everything to me, and the thought of having him back was like a distant dream, too good to be true. My attention snapped back to Elizabeth as she continued, her words hanging in the air. "You have two options," she declared, her voice commanding my full attention. "One, you watch every person voted out be murdered with this gun before proceeding to kill you, and later, I bring Cody back after your death." The weight of her proposition left me speechless, my mind filled with horrifying thoughts. I collected the courage to speak, my voice barely audible. "And the second option?" I managed to mumble. A twisted smile danced on Elizabeth's face as she revealed the second option, her words dripping with satisfaction. "The second option is I bring Cody back now, and he gets to watch you die. The others will be taken care of the 'normal way'." The sound of the gun tapping against Elizabeth's hand echoed through the woods, a haunting reminder of the limited time I had to make a decision. "The clock is ticking!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with a chilling urgency. "Which will it be?"
"C'mon, Melodie! Pull yourself together," I thought, pulling together the confidence to speak. As I fought back the tears building up in my eyes, I whispered, "The first option"
POWER DISCONNECTED
"When the lights go out, the murderer strikes." Elizabeth let out a feeble laugh, her eyes deprived of their usual spark of life. As I glanced around the dead black forest, a shiver ran down my spine, and I felt a growing sense of unease, fearing for the continuation of time. Until Elizabeth eventually went on.
"Come on Melodie! You should know that by now!"
