7 years later

"Should we go to the movies?"

"I dunno Alex, the theaters are usually packed around winter. Let's just go enjoy the snow with everyone else?"

"Yeah..Cindy wanted some time alone so I guess. When are you gonna get a girlfriend? You've been so lonely for like five years."

"Seven."

"Seven years. Jay, this isn't good. I mean, you're depressed?"

"I'm fine, seriously lix."

"Alright." Alex stood up from the couch, ruffling jisung's hair. "I'll see you later? Just call or text me. Cindy won't mind."

"Yeah bye." Jisung waved, sighing as he sunk into his couch. He was already 24 and he hated it. It's been seven years since he had left Korea, five years since he stopped visiting. He had cut everyone off to start a new life. A new one in the states.

He had made a lot of new friends though, his best friend Alex. They met when jisung first came and had been there his whole time. He even made an English name for jisung, Jackson. Jisung liked the ring of it.

Then he had Cindy, Alex's girlfriend. He also had his friend Ha-Joon. Someone who was also Korean so they bonded pretty quickly. Another close friend of his, Jiah. Half Korean and half Chinese, someone who he also liked to be around.

Though, there was one person that never left his mind. And no matter what he did, the guilt would never leave. This caused him to fall into a depression. Four years now, he had ruined his life. Or that's what he thought.

He always wondered what would've happened if he stayed in Korea.

"Maybe you would've been the same." Hajoon picked up a fry and bit down on it. Jiah rolled her eyes and slammed her hands on the coffee table.

"Nuh uh! You would've been happier."

"Maybe.."

"You should go back! Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Im not trying to be rude but you did put this on yourself. You ran away from your problems." Jiah got pulled back down by Hajoon.

"Chill J, Jisung is going through hard times. He doesn't need to hear that."

"No, she's right. I left because I was scared and didn't want to be near my parents.." jisung sat up, looking over his apartment. It was messy, clothes and take out everywhere. He had no motivation to do anything and stayed in bed rotting away.

Jiah and Hajoon looked at each other, they were seriously worried for Jisung. "We'll come back tomorrow." Hajoon stood up, him and Jiah leaving.

Jisung sat up, he was skinny. No matter how much he ate it always seemed like he never gained weight. He was practically skin and bones.

"Jisung?" Hajoon looked at Jiah who was staring intensely at the guys in front of her. "How do you know Jisung? How do you even know us?"

"We were friends in high school. Uhm, I saw your guy's instagram and you had photos with him so.."

"Oh. You mean, you guys were friends back in Korea?"
