*Starkid Weekend*
"Wait, you have backstage passes?? How?" Anne asked me on the way to the concert that night.
"My mom got me some, she also bought some for the rest of the family and..." I paused for dramatic effect "one for you!" holding a pass out to her.
"Oh my gosh! No way! Your mom is totally awesome!" she screamed snatching the pass out of my hands.
"This is going to be the greatest night ever!" This is why we are best friends.
We were leaving the parking lot when I suddenly noticed a group of people not far from where we were. They were having an argument and it looked like a very intense conversation. One of them looked just like Darren Criss!!
"Anne look! Look at that guy's costume! He looks just like Darren!"
"Um...Jen..." she replied "that IS Darren..."
As if he heard his name, Darren turned around and our eyes met. I could feel the warmth rise up into my cheeks as we continued to look at each other. After my complete embarrassment, Darren turned back to his conversation with a huge smirk on his face.
"Great...now I just embarrassed myself in front of him..." I mumbled as we continued to walk towards the stadium where the concert was held.
"You're fine." Anne laughed. This did not make me feel better. "Now lets go find our seats!"
As soon as we stepped inside the stadium, I forgot all about the event that took place outside. The place was huge and everywhere you looked there were banners for every house at Hogwarts! There are reds, yellows, blues, and greens. Closer to the stage you could see the main set of A Very Potter Musical, complete with the band area and sound system! There were also many different types of wire connecting the stage to the rest of the stadium. It seemed like the seating sections were split up based on house. As we drew closer to the person checking tickets, we could hear her telling each person what "house" they will be in. At that moment, she was having an argument with a little girl and her mother.
"I'm sorry dear but based on your seat on this ticket, you are a Hufflepuff."
"But...but...I don't want to be in Hufflepuff!! That house isn't important and the people always die! I want to be in Gryffindor!" the little girl whined to the lady.
"You can still be in Gryffindor but for the show you need to sit with Hufflepuff." The lady replied throwing the mother a questioning look for not explaining this to her daughter herself. "It is only fair."
"No! It isn't!!" the little girl screamed, running off.
Wow, some Harry Potter fans are very stubborn. Anne looked over at me with a worried look. I knew exactly what she was thinking, 'what if we were seated in the Slytherin section? How would we survive?' Yes, we can be stubborn Harry Potter fans too.
"Hmm...lets see," the lady said looking at our tickets. "I believe you guys are seated in..." she paused "Gryffindor!" and at that, I let out a huge sigh of relief. Gryffindor. The same house as Darren Freakin' Criss! I might just die of happiness!
As we were making our way to our seats, I glanced back at the entrance where the "sorting" was taking place. There were so many people in line who were dressed in a specific house color. Some of them were sent to different houses (just like the little girl) to sit. They looked so upset about it all. I couldn't care less...unless I was sent to Slytherin, then I would throw a fit. The Gryffindor section was near the front by the stage and it was huge! Completely covered in scarlet and gold! It felt just like a dream...
"Look how close we are to the stage! We might even be able to see the scar on Darren's forehead!" I was having a nerd moment...
As soon as I said that, I saw Joey Richter and Brian Holden walk onto the stage. Based on the silence that followed, I wasn't the only one who noticed.
"Jen! Jen! It's Joey! Joey is on stage!" a voice screamed in my ear.
Dang...and she thought I was obsessed.
"Hey Joey, it seems like they think the show is going to start soon..."
"I think you are right Brian, maybe we should start soon..." The crowd erupted in response. I could hear Anne screaming next to me how much she loves Joey.
"I love you Joey! Joey! I love you!" wow...I am surprised he couldn't hear a word of that....
The concert continued like this for awhile, with everybody singing along songs like "As Different As Can Be" and "Granger Danger." I kept trying to pay attention, however, I couldn't stop wondering...where was Darren? Why wasn't he on stage with the rest of the Starkids? Did something happen to him during the fight outside?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mwa ha ha ha...a cliff hanger, well...sort of...
So....What do you guys think happened to Darren? and why didn't anybody notice? Also, how do you think Jenny and Darren should meet? Let me know through your comments!
