Something Lost

Hey guys...sorry I haven't updated in a long time. I have just been really overwhelmed with school work so I haven't had time to write anything. I also needed to think about what to do with Darren in this particular chapter. It is a bit random too...

Here is the new chapter. I hope you like it! It does have some AVPM references, but only a little. :)

Warning: Something does end up happening to Darren. It isn't a good either. Don't get mad at me for it...the story just ended up that way... :/

*During the argument outside*

Darren's POV

Great...just great. My friends keep trying to make me ask this girl out who is a very very big fan. But I don't even like her very much. At this moment, I don't know what to do...

"Come on, Darren! Just do it! She is really cute!" Brian said bringing up the conversation again.

"No Brian! I don't like her that way...I mean she is nice and all but she just isn't my type!"

Suddenly a chill went through my body as if someone was intently watching me. I usually get these feelings especially after A Very Potter Musical became so big. But this one was different...it made me feel like I was being watched by someone I once knew. I know it sounds weird but I have to know where this feeling is coming from.

So I turn around and end up seeing...

A beautiful girl with long brown hair that fell perfectly around her bright blue eyes. She seemed to be a little shocked that I had caught her looking me. But wait...this didn't make sense, I have never seen this girl before in my life. Yet, I get this feeling that I know her from somewhere. As I continued to look at her, her cheeks began to gain more color. Aww...she's blushing. I think she might be a little embarrassed so I decided to turn back to the conversation. I smirk thinking about her shocked reaction as I turn around.

Who was that girl?

"Are you alright Darren? You look like you just saw a ghost," Joey laughs bringing me back to my senses. I turn away again to search for the girl but she was already gone. I need to go somewhere, get away from here till I can clear my head..

"Um...yea...I will be back," I mutter as I start walking towards my car.

"Where are you going?? We have show in 30 minutes!" someone yelled behind me.

"Jeez guys, I will be back before it even starts! Relax!" They can be really annoying sometimes but I love them anyways. But by the way they were acting, it seemed like they didn't even know me. I would never miss or even be late to my own show. I just have to get that girl's face out of my head. Maybe I will just go on a drive, I can be back in time for the show.

As I climb into my car, I look back at my friends and see the worried looks on their faces. "Guys relax! I am only going on a short drive and I will be back before you know it." I gave them a reassuring wave before turning the car on and driving off. 

Who was that girl? No..Darren...do not think about her right now! That was the whole reason behind this drive...

I put in one of the Starkid CDs and as I drove through the city, I began singing along to "Not Alone." I was singing so loud that I didn't even notice the road getting bumpier as I made my way out of the city. When the song ended, I found myself in a very strange looking neighborhood.

All of a sudden, another car came out from behind one of the houses and collided with me! I was tossed around in my seat till my head collided with the window and I am thrown from the car, landing on the hard gravel. My car continues to roll till it finally stops in an abandoned yard. As I continued to watch, the car is slowly engulfed in flames. That was close..

What happened? One second I was driving down the road, the next thing I know I am flying through the air after being thrown from the car.

As I search my mind for answers, I suddenly remember that there was another car. A large black van that had collided with me when the song ended.

Wait a minute...where did that van go? I slowly turn my head around to look for the other driver but there was nobody in sight. Was I just imagining it or was there a person standing behind the house across the street. Great Darren, now you are losing your mind. On the other hand, I need some help because I think I might have actually been hurt in that crash.

Before I could yell out for help however, I lost consciousness.

*A few days later in a local hospital*

When I finally open my eyes again, I find myself lying on a hospital bed with both my head and right arm wrapped in bandages. As I look around, I feel a sharp pain in my head. "Where is the nurse?" I mumbled.

My prayers were answered. No sooner had I mumbled those words did a nurse walk in. "Oh good, you're awake!"

"Where am I?" I asked her.

"You're in the town hospital. Now what is your name sir? So we can call your family and tell them where you are."

"I..I don't know.." All of my memories from before the accident were gone...I don't know anything about myself at all.

Who was I?

Mwa ha ha ha! Another cliff hanger! >:)

I really hope you guys liked it! Please don't kill me for making Darren loose his memory, it was actually a bit better than having him get captured by a random person. This way I can still use him as a main character and I have some ways for him to get his memory back but you will just have to keep reading. :P

Don't worry, Jenny will be back in the next chapter. (Darren might even too)

I will try to keep updating as much as I can but I can't promise that it will be anytime soon. Maybe after school is over...
