Percy sat alone at the table with his lunch kit and his notebook that wore various drawings and doodles.
"Hey! Can I sit here?" A seven-year-old said, at least she seemed Percy's age. She had short brown hair that held small waves, bronze skin, and honey-colored eyes. Percy was staring until a hand was waved in his face.
"You there?" The girl asked. Percy snapped out of his trance and looked up at her.
"Y-yeah!" Percy exclaimed a little loudly. "You can sit there." He said sheepishly.
The girl sat down with her lunch kit and opened it up. "I'm Amelia." She smiled at him.
"I'm Percy." The boy replied. "Are those blue candies?" He asked.
"Mhmm. My mom always packs me some since one of her friends always had blue food." She handed him some of the candy.
"Really? My mom does the same thing but she only does it since my stepfather said there wasn't any blue food." Percy gladly took the candy.
"Maybe our moms should meet, I bet they'd be good friends," Amelia suggested. The two talked for the rest of the lunch and found a lot in common. Stepfathers, blue food, and seeing weird things.

For the next few years Percy and Amelia grew close, always together, no one ever saw them apart. Sally always saw Amelia and Daisy always saw Percy, it was just the way it was.
That was until Amelia had to move when they were ten. Why? Percy didn't know why but he hated it.
Percy stood by the moving van outside of Amelia's apartment.
"Do you really have to move away?" He asked, crossing his arms.
"You think if I didn't have to I would?" Amelia frowned as she placed the last box in the van. Percy helped her close the door of the van and stood by the sidewalk.
"I'll miss you." Amelia said, hugging him. The boy wrapped his arms around Amelia's torso and breathed in. He was gonna miss the scent of strawberries that came along with her warm hugs.
"I got you something, so if you missed me you got something to look at." He said grabbing a bracelet from his pockets. It was a loom band bracelet, the colors were a bright neon blue and red, his and Amelia's favorite colors, of course not that bright but Percy couldn't find any regular ones . Percy handed it to Amelia, as she put it on her wrist.
"I have one too, so we'll always be matching." Percy rolled up his sleeve to show a matching one, Amelia smiled, hugging him again.
