Sonic's pov
I paced back and forth impatiently. Even without my natural born super speed I'm still just as restless as ever. Especially when my little red is trapped with that monster. I'm starting to understand how jets family felt.
"We're here" I sighed in relief at the sound of tails voice.
"It's about time buddy. What took you so long-" I paused at the sight of knuckles and amy at his sides.
"Oh hey guys" I waved nervously. I really wasn't ready for this reunion.
"Hey guys? That's all you have to say after disappearing without a word!" She exploded. I guess it's only natural that she'd be mad.
"Amy I'm sorry but can we talk about this later?" I pleaded with him "There's someone I have to save"
"Grr fine but we're going to talk about this" she placed her hands on her hips firmly.
"Yes ma'am" I smiled nervously.
Knuckles walked up to me, looked me up and down before bursting out laughing "what's with the furry body? Man you've gotten ugly since I last saw you!"
"Like your the one to be talking!" I laughed back. Classic knuckles, he hasn't changed a bit.
"It's nice to see us all catching up but don't we have someone to save?" Tails pointed out.
"Right" I jumped to attention before looking up at the ship above our head "my poor little red. He must be so scared" the other stared at me silently "what?"
"Something tells me this boy is more than a friend to you" knuckles smirked.
"Do we really have time for this!" My face heated up. The teasing is definitely something I didn't miss!
"You're right. Luckily we can get up there with the tornado" tails gestured to the oh so fermillier plane.
"Tails your a genius" I grinned.
"I know" he smiled "now let's go save your boyfriend!"
"He's not my boyfriend!" I yelled as my friends giggled behind me. Still I'm more than happy to have them on my side.
