Hanni's POV
Where am I? Why is it so dark? Why I could feel a sense of movements? . Oh, shit. I just realized that Minji had made me enter into her car earlier, and me being a sleepyhead unable to protest. I am totally clueless about our destination.
Slowly, I open my eyes to a breathtaking scenery. It seems far from the city, with sparse dwellings and lush greenery adorning the roadside. The sunset casts a mesmerizing glow.
But where are we? Is this a freaking prank or something? Panic grips me as It sinks in that we are really no longer in our town, and the surroundings grow darker.
I turn to find Minji at the wheel, listening to the music. I immediately turned it off, making her glare at me.
"Where are we? Where are you going to take me?" I asked, my impatience evident in my stomping feet.
"YAH, could you please behave, or we'll both die here" she retorts as we narrowly avoid colliding with an animal. Her silence and responses unsettle me. Is she planning something?
She turns to unfamiliar routes, and the dwindling streetlights add to my unease. My panic grew after realizing that there is no signal or on my phone.
What if she's a kidnapper or rapist? I cannot afford of losing my innocence tonight.
"We're almost there," she said with a smile, steering onto a narrower path surrounded by trees.
"Where are you taking me? Could you please enlighten me about our destination?" I asked, my frustration reaching its peak. I should have been more cautious in asking her to be my friend. She's seems a creep. Her continued silence made me mad ever more.
After a nerve-racking 5 minutes, we arrive at a dead end. As I swing open the car door, a rest house looms before us. It's not the house that's creepy but the surrounding itself.
Are we on a top of a hill?!
"Boo!" Minji startled the freak our of me, that made me jump and squeal loudly. I attempt to punch her, but she deftly dodges my blows. Argh, annoying.
But I must focus. Why have we come here? Hmmm
"What is the meaning of this, Minji?" I asked, folding my arms, hoping to get a decent answer this time
"Don't you like it?" Who in their right state of mind would find themselves in this situation enjoyable?
"I DON'T. I want to go home," I whine, but my appeal falls on deaf ears. She simply stands there watching and judging me like I'm a crazy woman
"Take a look inside. You might like it" she suggests, still evading my questions.
"Just tell me where are we" I questioned again, pretending that I'm about to cry. Her expression softens, and she exhales deeply.
"Just follow me," she starts to walk, but I don't want to follow. At the same time, I'm scared of being alone in this dark place, so I run behind her.
This place is actually interesting as I get closer. We're literally on a frickin hilltop. She brought me to the view deck, and there I am greeted by the panoramic view of the Seoul cityscape.
Woah, I didn't know that's how the city looks at night.
"It looks amazing, right?" Minji asks, fixated on the view. "You're the first person I've brought here," she adds.
I start to assume again that she really likes me. What if she made up a story about liking Sullyoon?
"You didn't have to kidnap me, just let me know where you're taking me" I said earning a face full of judgement.
