Hanni's POV
It has been a week since the party, and for a week now, I have been ignoring that woman. You know who she is.
I'm sure you all are proud of me, guys. I understand that avoiding her will help me diminish these feelings towards her.
At first, I thought it would be difficult, but it turned out to be easier because I am Pham Hanni; no one can make me feel crazy over love.
Yeah, that's true. Not even Kim Minji.
"Let's make a bet, Bae. If Hanni fails to ignore Minji today, then you'll give me 10 bucks. If not, I'll give you 10 bucks" Lily said playfully.
"You're quite optimistic, Lily. She has managed to ignore her for a week, and I doubt she'll give in today. Looks like I'll be emptying your wallet" Bae replied.
"I've never lost a bet in my entire life. Remember my words, Hanni is vulnerable when it comes to Minji."
"Well, this might be your first loss then," Bae teased, sticking out her tongue at Lily.
Bae is right, Lily is likely to lose their bet because there's no way I'm giving in today. Maybe tomorrow? Just kidding. Yuck
Focus. Focus, Hanni.
"There's still a chance for you, Hanni. They're not yet girlfriends—" I interrupted Lily by stuffing a huge sandwich into her mouth.
"I think you're just hungry, Lily."
"During the party, I noticed how they look at each other. If I didn't know them, I'd assume they're in love—" I cut off Bae too, their opinions were giving me a headache.
But it's cute though. I never knew we looked cute together asdghjj—
"Hey, Bae, I thought you were on my side," I rolled my eyes and finished my food.
"I jusSt waNt fr33 food, and th-That sandwich of yours tAstes realLy ReaLLy good" she replied, while Lily burst into laughter.
I hope we don't cross paths today.
I hope not to see her face.
I hope not to hear her voice.
I hope she's not around.Fate, please be kind to me. I crossed my fingers, but luck seems to be far from me.
"Hi, guys, what's up?" The sudden appearance of Minji surprised the three of us, and she not only sat at our table but beside me?
I looked at both of them and signaled them to shut up. Yes, we can communicate through eyes and gazes.
"Hi, Minji" Lily awkwardly greeted back.
"What's up, bro" Bae followed.I could see from the corner of my eye that she was waiting for my response, but I continued to pretend she wasn't there.
"Is your friend deaf or something? Or maybe mute?" Minji asked, staring at me intently. I almost laughed but held back, reminding myself of my goal for today.
"Don't worry, bro. Her head just bumped into something hard earlier, but she's fine" I kicked Bae's foot and Lily's too, who was struggling to hold back her laughter. Ugh, I can't stand them. Can we just leave this canteen?
"Oh, really? Where does your head hurt, Pham?" I wasn't sure if she was genuinely concerned or being sarcastic. I remained silent, doing better than I expected.
"Are you mad at me because I didn't take you home after the party?"
Seriously? Is she still thinking about that? Maybe she should have clarified that all her actions were just friendly gestures so I would stop assuming. Tskkkkk.
