Jungwon |Some time later, I found myself sitting alone on Jay's bed. I just needed a moment to process everything.
Just then, the door creaked open, and I looked up to see someone entering. The big smile on their face gave away their identity - it was Sunoo. I hadn't memorized all their names yet, but Sunoo's friendly demeanor made him easily recognizable.
"Hey, Jungwon. Can I come in?" Sunoo asked, still wearing that warm smile.
"Of course," I replied, giving a small smile in return.
Sunoo took a seat next to me. "How are you holding up? It's a lot to take in, I know."
"Yeah, it's a bit overwhelming. But everyone here has been so kind and helpful."
"That's good to hear. We're like a family, looking out for each other," Sunoo explained.
"I can sense that. It's strange, but I'm starting to feel a connection with all of you."
Sunoo grinned, "Yeah, we're a pretty unique bunch."
The room fell into a brief silence before Sunoo playfully nudged me. "So, how are things going with Jay?"
I felt my cheeks warm, caught off guard by the teasing question. "What do you mean?"
Sunoo laughed, "Come on, Jungwon. It's written all over your face. You and Jay have a thing, don't you?"
I stuttered, "I... I don't know what you're talking about."
Sunoo's laughter filled the room. "Oh, please! I can practically see the hearts in your eyes whenever he's around."
I couldn't help but blush deeper. "It's not like that. We've been through a lot, and he's been incredibly supportive, so.."
Sunoo nudged me again, "Sure, sure. Supportive in the vampire way, right?"
I laughed nervously, "I don't even know what that means."
Sunoo winked, "Well, just keep in mind, we're a pretty open-minded group. If there's anything between you and Jay, we're all cool with it."
I looked down for a moment.
Sunoo continued with a mischievous grin, "You know, I bet you and Jay have already kissed."
My eyes widened, and I stammered, "How do you even... I mean, how would you know that?"
Sunoo shrugged casually, "Just a guess. You two seem pretty close."
I sighed, feeling a mix of embarrassment and confusion. "We're just friends. Nothing more."
Sunoo raised an eyebrow, his playful expression turning more thoughtful. "Are you sure about that? I can sense these things, you know."
I hesitated, then nodded. "I don't know. Maybe there's something more, but Jay hasn't said anything."
Sunoo nudged me again, a reassuring smile on his face. "He will. I promise you."
I sighed, "It's just... everything is so new, and I don't want to complicate things."
Sunoo leaned in, his tone more serious. "Jungwon, promise me you won't tell anyone I said this, but I have a feeling Jay likes you too."
My eyes widened with surprise. "Wait, really? How do you know?"
Sunoo grinned, "Let's just say I have a sixth sense for these things. Jay might not have said anything yet, but trust me, the signs are there."
"But what if I'm misinterpreting things? What if I'm just imagining it?"
"Look, Jungwon, love in any world is a complicated thing. Sometimes, you need to trust your instincts. And believe me, Jay cares about you more than just as a friend."
