"We're here," Courtney saids.

Heather gets out her side of the car obviously looking a bit nervous. Before she shuts the door I ask her "Are you sure you don't want us to come with?"

"Yeah, I'll only be 5 minutes," She responds.

She shuts the door and walks round to the side of the house, to what I'm guessing is her bedroom. I was worried about how this was going to go but Courtney snaps me out of my thoughts.

"So Alejandro.."

"Yeah?" I say.

"When do you meet Heather?" She asks.

"Just after her and her ex boyfriend broke up, I was her waitress where their date was," I reply, "My parents own the restaurant."

"Your parents own that fancy Spanish restaurant!?" She saids sort of surprised.

"Mhm."

"Heather loves that place, we go there a alot how come I never saw you there?"

"I've been away for ages because of my job, what do you do for work again?" I ask.

"I'm a lawyer."

"Ah yes, I remember Heather mentioning that," I say, "She talks about you a lot."

"Same here."

We spend a while getting to know each other and she seems like a really good friend. I'm glad Heather has someone else because she definitely doesn't have most of her family. Courtney has also told me lots of useful things about Heather, such as her favourite flowers, foods and so on. Speaking of Heather I wonder how she's doing?

I finally manage to climb up my window and into my bedroom. Thankfully I was stupid enough to leave the window unlocked. The room is such a mess. Before I even start picking things up, I walk around the room making sure my door is locked so no one knows I'm here. I forgot how much I hated this place. All the horrible memories came crawling back to me as I felt scared tears stream down my checks. I could hear my parents arguing downstairs and also my younger siblings arguing as well. This room was depressing and miserable, I wanted to get my stuff and go as fast as possible.

Once I had gathered all of my clothes and everything I needed, I heard scratching coming from my door. I took a deep breath, walk over to my door and carefully open it, only to see my cat bruiser looking up me. He looked weak like he had barely eaten. I bring him in a quietly close the door. Oh how I've missed him cuddling me. He was the only one who got me through my really hard times.

"You poor thing, are you hungry?" He purrs at my question.

I think about weather or not to bring him. I've missed him more than anything, I mean he's always been there for me. But it's not my house it's Alejandro's, what would he think of this? But I can't let bruiser starve to death. Fuck it. I don't care I'm taking him. I climb back out of my window trying not to hurt him. Taking one last look at my room, my last words. "I won't miss you and your horrible memories."

After what felt like an eternity, Heather finally walks out. This time holding an adorable, white, fluffy cat. She gets into the seat next to me as she pets the cat every so gently.

"Awww bruiser," Courtney saids, "What happened to him, he looks like he hasn't even since 1995."

"I don't know, but I guess he hasn't been getting fed often." Heather replies.

Heather looks right at me and I know exactly what she going to say.

"I'm so sorry, we don't have to keep him Ill find him a good home and-"

I cut her off by kissing her on her lips making her lipgloss smudge. "Don't worry, I would love to keep him."

She gives me the biggest smile and kisses me on my check from happiness.

"Quick stop to the pet shop for food?" Courtney asks.
