(tw bad fighting scenes/j.........)

People caught wind of your arrival eventually—every sorcerer with cursed energy could sense your presence even if they were across Shibuya from your location. Your emotions affected the aura of your cursed energy immensely, your heavy heart anchoring down despair that flows in your cursed energy. You roamed the streets of Shibuya with hollow footsteps, killing civilians who were in your path.

Nanami received the information of your arrival from a scared window who hid from you when you passed right by them. They figured they had to wait long after you were out of eyesight to dash through the ruins of the city and back into the station and search for someone to inform them of your activities. Nanami was the first one he found when the window ran down a flight of stairs and saw him with Nobara and another woman.

"Na-Nanami-san!" The window screeched as they dashed across the room, earning curious head turns from the other three. Nanami lifted an eyebrow as the window got closer and closer to him.

"Special grade curse user Hatake Y/n has entered the battlefield! Other windows have given reason to believe they have something to do with Satoru Gojo being sealed!"

Nanami gave the window a nod before turning back to Nobara and the other woman, his knee beginning to ache on the ground and his foot getting sore. Nobara looked at him with a knowing gaze, her heart sinking when she realized that the rumors were real.

"I'll be heading to the Zenin group in 85F. Please wait here for rescue," Nanami stood up, glancing at Nobara and the other woman for a moment before beginning his walk down the stairs, his blade gripped tight in his hand.

The clacks of his shoes echoed in the hallways, alerting anyone nearby of his presence as he turned down different corners and headed to where he said he was going. He figured that Maki would still be with her assessor by the time he arrived, so he was prepared to spread the news without knowing the baggage and anxiety that would hang on Maki's heart.

When Nanami turned another corner he found Maki—and another man, Naobito, the one who assigned you your late mission. He wasn't very pleased when he found out he'd be assessing Maki in her exam; he was sure you'd already done your job and that Naoya had let you go once you reported back to him, but no news was going around about Maki. Naobito told himself he'd execute you if he ever saw you again for defying his orders.

"Zenin," Nanami called out as he walked down the stairs, earning head turns from both the Zenins down there. Maki exorcised a curse, swinging her spear and wiping it off before turning to him.

"First Grade Nanami. Any news on that cursed energy presence?"

"I do. Hatake Y/n arrived just 20 minutes ago and there's reason to believe they have something to do with Satoru Gojo's sealing."

"Hatake?!"

"Y/n?"

"Yes. They're somewhere in Shibuya and they're hostile. Don't engage with them if you see them."

Maki nibbled on her lip as she looked at Nanami with a dull glare, her eyes looking around, hoping for a small chance that you might show up at her will. Her gaze darted all over the place, searching for a snippet of your appearance and sighing quietly when she found none. She was disappointed, but not surprised when she heard that you were hostile. You changed over the past year—you were so nice, and so kind last year and you would never willingly hurt a fly.

The three of them strolled down another flight of stairs, discussing the situation with Gojo being sealed. The question of what would happen after that was floating around, to which Nanami answered that criminals would come out from the shadows and strike now that the strongest was gone. Naobito took amusement in the fact that Gojo was sealed—he was even glad about it.
