A frigid wind blew through the dim and drafty corridors of Castle Stygian. Neon, Zephyr...and even brave Patty were gone. X was the only hero left. It was up to him to stop the Dark Prophecy. Every world hung in balance. What thrilling conclusion awaited our hero? X ran to the count's inner sanctum...
Castle Stygian Inner Sanctum
"So, it's just us left now, isn't it? It reminds me of the time we first met..."
X turns to Tippi.
"...."
"...I'm so sorry, X. I promised you that I would help you find your friends... And now... All of them are gone forever..."
"Well, I know there alive! They are hero's after all, right?"
"Maybe you are right and they did somehow survive... They are definitely heroes. I'm going to believe in them... And... I'm going to believe in HIM... most of all..."
They keep going through multiple rooms, defeating brainwashed people, and eventually they reach the top of the castle.
They open the door.
"I feel... I feel something very, very powerful... ...Is it the Chaos Crystal?"
"Hehehehehe..."
"I see you've come at last! So you really are the hero of the Light Prophecy!" Count Stygian says.
Tippi and X walk up to Stygian.
"Count...Stygian..."
"But you are far too late to stop the Dark Prophecy and me... Count Stygian! All worlds will soon end. Come to grips with that now, for you cannot stop it. I suggest you make yourself comfortable and enjoy this one, final spectacle!"
"But...why? Do you really want to destroy everything? Why would you do this?! How..COULD you do this?!"
Stygian spreads out one arm.
"Count Stygian does not care about any world! They are all meaningless. Better that I destroy them! Better yet, I shall make it as if they never existed at all!"
"If the worlds have no meaning, was our meeting meaningless as well? Answer me, Raven!"
He holds his hat over his face.
"You know the answer, dear Timpani... Count Stygian does not have to tell you... But the hour has grown too late. You should know that by now."
"Raven..... My love, Raven... Or rather, Count Stygian... The only way we can stop this is to defeat you... And that is exactly why X and I have come here... To stop this."
"HEH HEH HEH! Very well! But I will also do what I must! Count Stygian is the deleter of worlds! My fate is written in the Dark Prophecy! Do not think for a moment that I will hesitate to strike you down. ALL NOW ENDS!"
"Raven.."
"Leave me, Anastasia. I will deal with these two ALONE."
"B-but..."
"Count Stygian demands it! I will not say it again..."
"Yeah, right away, Count."
Anastasia leaves.
"Are you prepared, hero? Our duel will be worthy of the last clash the world will ever see!"
The battle begins. X tries to attack Stygian but it doesn't work. He tries some different ones but they don't do anything..
"How laughable! Is that all the heroism you can muster? Let me show you true power!"
"Our attacks...aren't doing anything! He's being shielded by the Chaos Crystal.."
