"Are you sure you won't regret this?" He asked.
"I'm sure," I finished writing my name on the contract and stared towards my lap until I got new instructions.
"Well then, it's time to get ready," he said as he stood up, motioning for me to do as well. Some men that were just standing behind me started to put a chain around my neck that was connected around my wrists. I absolutely hated it but I already knew what would happen the moment I entered this room. They put a long white cloth over me that matched my clothes.
"Not having a hard time breathing?" He smiled. I wanted to punch him, mostly for how long I've been so.. obedient? But mostly cause I wanted to wipe that smirk of his face.
They walked me towards the auction room, the man leading me and two other guys in front of me.
I looked around and saw a bunch a mythical and types of fairytale creatures. I had only heard of the ones that were giant, though it was different than just hearing about them.
When we got there I waited a few minutes before needing to go on the stage as the audience started their bets.
"Now this is a fine specimen with so little of their kind, the Arahabaki! Starting at 500,00."
What the hell is a or The Arahabaki? I heard people shout out numbers between a million as they went higher.
But everyone stopped as the main doors were open by a tall man with a bunch of layers of clothes with bandages covering most of his face. He looked kinda freaky looking like an ancient statue, and why the hell was he so tall!?
Everyone started whispering as he walked through the middle of the audience. He stepped on the stage making people try to stop him. Well I wouldn't say try as they only said to stop.
I couldn't help but feel like I was being stared at like prey. But I still looked at him straight towards his eyes, or where his eyes are supposed to be under dose bandages.
"5,000,000" he said.
That much!? Who the hell was he to be throwing such money like that, especially towards a random person.
"It's decided. I will make you my apprentice." He smiled.
The way he said it made me shiver in absolute agony, I had a feeling my life was just gonna get more problematic.
I heard two men talking behind the curtain about this weirdo in what the hell he was doing. But that didn't stop them from selling me off to this man.
We were in the reception room as the man was talking to the weirdo on his manners with the whole ordeal that had happened.
"He's a good listener and seems docile enough to not give you a hard time, though it was an honor to see you at such place but we do hope you would follow the rules just as everyone else does." The man explained.
"I didn't come here to talk nor get a lecture." The half face said as he stood up and walked towards me.
"Now now, no need to look down, have your back straight and head held up high. Understood?" He said as he grabbed the chain and made me face him, the same smile on his face.
I wanted to do the opposite and spit on his face, though I knew better than that, my body was far too weak at the moment and I would have problems as I did sign the contract. Ugghhhhh, if only someone else could have bought me, just standing near this guy made me have a bad feeling. "Okay," I quickly said.
"I would like to use a lobby of yours." The tall dude said as he grabbed my shoulder and brought me closer to him.
We walked in a room similar to the one that had all those creatures from before. Though there was a small one that seemed like a green whale with fairy wings. It flied towards me and rubbed its face with mine, it was soft, I couldn't help but smile as it let out small noises that sounded like purrs.
