The man sat on the tree branch as he swung his legs with the wide smile on his face as his non-covered eye stared at the moon.
———.—————-.——————-.————.Dazai stood in front of the growing and moving muck. Fukuchi and Teruko stood not too far away.
"How irresponsible, letting him in there, do you not care if he lives?"
"He won't die! I don't intend to let that happen. He was expensive, after all." He kept a smile on his face.
"A curse who's neither fully human nor fully fae, do you truly you'll be forgiven for buying a human?" He gave him a stern look.
"It seems that you're still as much of a human supremacist as ever, Fukuchi. How did you hear of Chuuya? You were never one for auctions, those events are strictly private and the occurrences that happen are meant to be kept secret." He tilted his head to the left with his smile widening.
"Speaking of secrets, what use do you have for this mass of rage and regret?" He looked at him as if planning for his next target.
Teruko gave him a wary look, Dazai understood.(I didn't) "I see."
Dazai walked closer making Teruko go in front of Fukuchi as she held a dagger in her hand. He noticed something.
"What about that arm? Did someone need more than you? How generous!" Fukuchi's left arm was gone.
That stayed silent as they glared at each other which was interrupted by the sudden blast of wind of petals that used to be muck. They saw Chuuya staring at it as he held Fukuzawa in his arms, he seemed to be lost in thoughts.
"Good work, my lovely dog!" Chuuya gave him a bored glare but didn't say anything.
"Flowers huh?" Kunikida and Tanizaki ran up to the King of Cats grateful that they still had their leader with them.
"Clever move."
"Hmm, well of course! My sweet Chuuya isn't as disastrous as you!"
Chuuya didn't even notice that the two alchemists were still here until Fukuchi let out a sigh.
"Let's go Teruko."
"Leaving so soon? I haven't even told you anything yet!"
"With the corruption gone, I have no further business here. I've seen how you treat the boy. Be careful, there are countless people who won't go without a fight to have him." The moment he stopped talking Teruko took out a similar vial and opened it. They disappeared in with a blink of an eye startling Chuuya from the sudden flash of light.
"I'm guessing you know them?" Chuuya looked up towards Dazai who had his hand on his hip with an annoyed look in his eyes.
"That alchemist is quite famous for his hatred towards mages. Though he's always liked picking fights with me in particular." He stared into the distance where they were.
Not far off in the forest Fukuchi and Teruko were met by a man dressed as a clown with a smile on their face.
"Though, he still had both of his arms when I last saw him. Seems like a story may lay there." He stood straight as his usual smile came back.
But it faltered a bit when he felt weight on his arm. It was Chuuya, "Oh are you feeling alright sweetie?" The Ariel flew closer.
"Your magical production circuits seem to exhaust itself, why don't you take a small nap!" Chuuya's only response was a small hum. Dazai picked him up and carried him in his arms.
"Dazai... do you know when I'm going to die?" He stayed silent waiting for Dazai's answer.
"I was hoping you'd forget that part.." It was barely above a whisper, Chuuya was glad he was being carried by him or else he wouldn't have been able to hear it just by standing next to him.
