Vicross was able to complete a few preliminary worries to work his way to master chef. Cale sent him to a special culinary class and he miraculously completed it.
It was brutal and exhausting but Ron's smiling face took all his worries away. He loves it when his father smiles like that.
He breezed through the preliminary rounds of the competition, and now...
"This is nerve-racking," he mumbled, staring at himself in a white apron. It was his first time on television, and he had no idea that this was how contestants usually felt when he openly criticized them while watching television.
Cale gives him a little smack. He looked at his teacher, who handed him a suitcase.
"All right, go do your worst there."
Vicross accepted and opened the suitcase. He has grown accustomed to Cale's cursed-like chant of doing their worst. At this point, he should have been honest and said, "Do your best." His teacher, on the other hand, is that type of person. He frowned and looked down. His eyes gleamed when he saw the beautifully crafted, high-grade knives in it. He should have known that his teacher had everything ready for him on the stage he desired.
"Win or lose, Vicross," Cale said as he turned away, "I hope you compete with no regrets; after this, you will have the best opportunities knocking."
He walked into the prestigious kitchen of the best chefs and took his place. He only recently realized he was the title's youngest contender.
"As he said..." he smiled, delighted at the prospect of competing with another of Roan's talented and best cooks, "I will just do my worst."
.
.
Cale turned to face Roksu, who had joined him and Vicross. He agreed to let him be his guardian because he still had class and could not abandon it, and Ron could not travel that far. His age made it difficult for him to move.
When Cale asked Ron if he wanted to come, he simply smiled and said, "Vicross should be fine on his own." At times like this, he should be supporting his son, but it appears that Ron was overcome with emotion after witnessing his son's first flight.
"He is a really good father," Cale murmured. "Take care, my kid."
"Says the bastard," Roksu hums as he walks into the audience. Roksu had been teaching Vicross some techniques. He graduated from culinary school and had opportunities, but he chose to open a diner with the other two Soos.
Cale rode his car open and opened his phone to watch his student's first handsome appearance and Vicross did not disappoint.
"What a handsome young man," he exclaimed proudly. Ron must be on cloud nine after seeing his son's handsome and majestic appearance on television. He went to school and noticed that his students were also watching on their phones.
Well, he just has to beat them up with lessons. Especially when one of them had some negative jinx.

Vicross's first dish is a simple dessert. It's a dessert he perfected while cooking at Cale's place.
It's the first treat that the teacher likes so he felt proud about it.
He pushed the cart to the examiner's room. Three people were standing before him.
He smiled and said, "Hello."
"Hello, you are quite young; what is your name?" one of the examiners inquired.
