There are parents who would make decisions for their children's future without even asking what they truly want.

Cale recognized Rosalyn's father as that type of parent.

How pitiful. Such talent will be squandered because her parents have already made a decision for her. The child who could not find joy in that predetermined future will suffer the most, not the parent.

"How dare you say such a thing to a parent?"

"How dare you make decisions about your child's future?" he bluntly stated. These were the types of parents who deserved to be slapped around.

"Of course, I'm her father! Whose money do you think is being squandered for her future?"

"Children are not insurance for their parents."

Mr. Brecker was silenced as a result. Cale entered his room and opened the door. Every teacher who listened to this talk remained silent.

"Also, ask anyone if they want to be in charge of your daughter's class... But I doubt any of them can..." Cale smirked, "after all, it takes a bastard teacher to care for his bastard student."

Outside the room, Mr. Brecker can be heard groaning as he slams the doors shut. To be honest, no teacher would want to work with those problem students, and those students would not want to work with them. What those children required was not the type of teacher who would go to any length for them. They needed someone to challenge them.

Someone must demonstrate that they are incorrect.

"It's so annoying."

He sat in his seat, ignoring the commotion outside. Knocks soon echoed through the doors. He slouches and allows the visitor to enter. Rosalyn was there.

"I'm sorry for my father's attitude, Teacher-nim."

"Don't worry about it; how about you? Are you all right?"

"I am."

"Not that... Are you really content to listen and let him decide your future?"

Rosalyn fixed her gaze on him. She smiled briefly, but it soon turned painful and melancholy.

"I'm not fine..."

"I knew it..."

"You knew?"

"It's not what you really wanted," Cale said, "your passion is somewhere else."

"Teacher-nim, would they accept if I told them I wanted to take something different?" Rosalyn asked.

"Will you be able to accept responsibility for your decisions?"

"You haven't responded to my question, teacher-nim."

"That was my response to your question, Rosalyn."

A teacher who returned a question rather than responding to it. Rosalyn was thinking, weighing all the possibilities for her life.

"Can you help me then?"

"Are you able to do it then?"

Rosalyn was taken aback. Cale will not accept responsibility if she ever has a regret. Cale is willing to back her up if she can assure him that she will be able to bear the consequences, no matter how difficult and painful they are.

"I can..."

Cale smiled. He stood up and patted Rosalyn on the head, saying, "Well done. I hope you don't regret it. You should clearly tell your family about your decision."
