When Yasmine went back to her study room, she sat with frustration as she tried to glance at her books, feeling the weight of her parents' expectations pressing down on her. Despite the fact that her grades were already outstanding, her parents weren't satisfied. The constant pressure to maintain perfect scores was suffocating, leaving her with a sense of being "grounded" in her own aspirations. She had spent countless nights studying, sacrificing her free time and social life to keep up with the relentless demand for academic excellence. The As on her report card, which would have made most parents proud, were met with raised eyebrows and a stern reminder that there was always room for improvement.

Yasmine: On the inside. Pfft...Parents. They are always on my ass about school!

Yasmine: On the inside. Why do other people have chill parents except me? Life's not fair!

The next day at school felt like a never-ending cycle of stress and monotony. In chemistry class, Mr. Waisanen droned on about upcoming exams and review sessions.

Mr. Waisanen: Alright, people!

Mr. Waisanen: Does anyone wanna volunteer and show us how to solve this problem on the board?

Mr. Waisanen: I most definitely will ask you guys this question on the exam.

Soon after, Jodie decided to go up to the board and volunteer how to do this problem as she already solved it on her paper. Yasmine's mind, however, wandered to thoughts of Elijah, a welcome distraction from the constant pressure she felt at home. Yasmine's daydream took an unexpected turn as she found herself on the surreal shores of a beach, the vibrant colors of her light purple flowered bathing suit. The beach seemed like a mirror image gone awry, where traditional gender norms had been playfully flipped. The guys sported bikinis, and the girls, in an unexpected twist, wore male swimsuits, leaving Yasmine feeling both amused and uneasy.

Yasmine: She thought to herself. Wtf?! What am I seeing?

Yasmine: On the inside. There's no way girls are wearing only male swimsuits and not having anything that covers their torsos...

Yasmine: On the inside. And no way guys are wearing f**king bikinis! Like God...This is so weird!

As she took in the peculiar sight, her attention was drawn to someone emerging from the water with cinematic slowness. To her astonishment, it was Elijah. The song California Gurls by Katy Perry had started playing in the background. His actions were somehow making the unusual scenario even more captivating. He sauntered out of the water, his form accentuated by a blue bikini that seemed to fit his chest and ass perfectly despite being a guy. The bright red sunglasses perched on his face glimmered in the scorching sunlight. He slowly took them off revealing his typical cheeky, mischievous expression. As he did so, all the girls were drooling on him as he sucked on a pink lollipop.

Yasmine: She was mesmerized and said to herself. Don't tell me that's Elijah...What the hell is he doing here?

Yasmine couldn't help but be entranced by the dreamlike sequence, even though the oddity of the situation left her feeling a mix of fascination and bewilderment. As Elijah made his way out of the water, the dreamlike atmosphere intensified as a group of girls approached him with unabashed awe. Yasmine observed the scene, still situated on the unconventional beach.

Girl #1: Wow, you look so cute but hot at the same time, Elijah!

Girl #2: You look perfection in that bikini of yours!

Elijah: Thanks, girls! Now where is my baby angel at?

Elijah: I hope I didn't make her wait too long for me to get out of the water.

As he implied about Yasmine's whereabouts, he finally found where she was after skimming his eyes towards the shore. His confident strides led him directly towards her, a flattering smirk playing on his lips. As he approached, a lively energy emanated from Elijah. His perfectly fitting blue bikini accentuated his every move, and with a teasing wiggle of his ass, he closed the distance between them. With a mischievous grin, Elijah bent down to stroke Yasmine's hair, his touch both tender and playful.

Elijah: Thrilled to see me moving in slow motion are you, baby angel?

Yasmine: I have to say...I had no idea you have such a beautiful ass, Mr. California Girl.

Elijah: Ooh, what a compliment. Never expected to hear something sweet from a shy angel that acts anxiously cold on the outside.

Elijah: He extended his hand out to her. Wanna go back in the water with me?

Yasmine: Umm...Not sure about that. I never got inside the water once.

Elijah: Don't worry. I'll protect and hold you as we swim.

Elijah: It's not as cold as you think. In fact it's as warm as taking a bath.

He then took her hand and led her into the water. Laughter filled the air as they splashed water at each other, the playful antics drawing the envy-filled gazes of the other girls on the surreal beach. In a thrilling twist, confident Elijah reached over and kissed Yasmine on the lips. The imagination captured the romantic intensity of the moment as Yasmine eagerly kissed him back. Unbeknownst to Yasmine, the vivid daydream had taken over her thoughts to the point where she was snickering uncontrollably in the classroom. Mr. Waisanen, noticing her distraction, momentarily stopped what he was doing.

Mr. Waisanen: Yasmine, what's so funny?

Mr. Waisanen: He joked. Are there spiders crawling through your clothes?

Yasmine snapped back to reality, realizing that her daydream had taken her far from the chemistry problems on the board. Caught off guard, she stammered an excuse, the lingering traces of the imagination still vivid in her mind as she struggled to refocus on the class material.

Yasmine: Embarrassed, she answered. Umm, nothing, Mr. Waisanen.

Yasmine: Nothing was funny...I didn't know why I was laughing honestly.

Mr. Waisanen: Hmm, really? If that's the case then, would you like to answer-

As Mr. Waisanen waited for Yasmine's response to the question, Elijah, with a mischievous twinkle in his eye, took the opportunity to step forward.

Elijah: It's better if I'll go ahead and answer the next question, sir!

Elijah: Don't want Yasmine to answer if she's had her eyes and mind busy dating each other.

Confidently, he volunteered to showcase the solution on the board in place of Yasmine. The classroom's attention shifted towards Elijah as he approached the board. Elijah glanced back at Yasmine with a wink.

Elijah: Ok, this is how I answered the problem...

Elijah: And I'm 100% confident my answer is correct!

With a confident swagger, Elijah began to work through the problem on the board. After class was over, Yasmine was speaking to her best friend Jodie near their lockers. With a curious expression, Jodie couldn't help but ask Yasmine about her apparent distraction during the exam review.

Jodie: Hey, Yasmine. What were you thinking during the review?

Jodie: Never seen my diligent best friend getting lost in her own world to end up laughing so hard by herself.

Yasmine: Like I told Mr. Waisanen...I don't know why! It's not like I was thinking about anything important.

Yasmine: I'm pretty sure it was nothing. People tend to get carried away with their thoughts sometimes.

Jodie, being perceptive, couldn't shake the feeling that Yasmine's distraction might be related to someone specific.

Jodie: Come on, girl. I know you were daydreaming. Does it have something to do with Elijah?
