Yasmine couldn't help but blush even harder even though she tried to control herself from revealing her timid nature. She found herself caught in a whirlwind of conflicting feelings every time Elijah approached her. That imagination she had in chemistry class about Elijah wearing a bikini at the beach while all the girls were wearing male swimsuits still lingered in her mind. Before she could gather her thoughts to voice her complaints, the abrupt sound of the cafeteria bell interrupted their conversation.
Elijah: Oop, guess that's the bell. Ready to dive within another adventure in drama class?
Elijah: I call dibs on us perfecting our show just like how you're so focused on perfecting your grades.
Elijah: I can tell your party of insides is so excited to be playing Princess Anna again.
Yasmine: She rolled her eyes and said, Yeah...Sure. Whatever floats your stupid boat.
Yasmine: She said as she made silly faces to mimic him. You're always so f**king unpredictable with your wishy-washy jokes being all "Omg, here's a new daddy joke. Omg, everyone's laughing."
Yasmine: Never do you once stop and acknowledge that not everything in life is a joke, Elijah the Jokester.
From around the corner, Jodie watched with amusement as Yasmine and Elijah engaged in their playful banter. She couldn't help but find their interactions entertaining, especially knowing Yasmine's tendency to slip into a "tsundere" mode whenever Elijah came close to her. Despite Yasmine's efforts to appear indifferent or even slightly annoyed by Elijah's teasing, Jodie could see through the facade.
Jodie: She said to herself. She's just as funny as him, but doesn't know so herself.
Jodie: On the inside. I can imagine them in a comedy show on stage and getting first place.
Then Elijah gently grabbed Yasmine's wrist and brought her closer to her. Other people were already on their way to their classes and it was time for them to leave too. As Elijah drew her nearer, Yasmine's breath caught in her throat, her cheeks flushing with excitement and shyness.
Elijah: It's only 5 minutes before drama class starts. Let's not linger any longer here, Angel.
Elijah: He bent down and whispered in her ear. Fun fact but the sweater you're wearing smells like cherry on top of vanilla ice cream.
Yasmine: She said to herself. How can someone be so annoying but dreamy at the same time?
Yasmine: On the inside. If all the girls out there, why did he choose to tease me instead? I'm not even funny myself!
Elijah: What's on your mind now? Or did you agree with my comment about your sweater?
Yasmine: She tried to play cool. Uh, hell no. You're getting your head up too high in the clouds about it, big boy.
Yasmine: Let's just go. You said we shouldn't be late.
Elijah: Ahh, always so rough, huh? But let's not push it.
Elijah: Lemme go grab your backpack before you give yourself a hump on the back.
Yasmine couldn't help but roll her eyes in an indifferent manner at Elijah's offer to carry her backpack, a gesture he had made before when they were waiting for their bus. In drama class, as they prepared for their rehearsal plays, Miss Delacourt, their teacher, decided to add a little twist to the proceedings.
Miss Delacourt: Hello class, hope you're all having a fantastic afternoon.
Miss Delacourt: Today you're going to continue rehearsing, BUT I got a little something to motivate you guys to continue.
Miss Delacourt: I brought costumes that correspond to each character of your individual scripts.
Random Girl #1: She raised her hand. Does that mean we'll all be wearing costumes while we rehearse?
Miss Delacourt: Yes, that's right, my dear.
Random Girl #2: My group is still struggling to memorize their lines. Will we get points deducted for participation?
Miss Delacourt: Oh, no...Not at all! All I'm looking for in participation is effort and cooperation.
Miss Delacourt: Final performance won't take place until the last week of this semester.
Miss Delacourt: For now I'm just grading everyone on whether they tried or not.
When it was time to rehearse, Elijah and Yasmine's group were selected to perform in front of the audience for today and they were determined to give it their all. Taking turns in the fitting room to change into their costumes, Elijah and Yasmine helped each other with the final touches, ensuring that they looked the part for their roles. With each passing moment, the anticipation grew, fueling their determination to deliver a memorable performance. This time, the group's performance was even better as Yasmine spoke with more vivace as Princess Anna when it came to the scene of Princess Joseph arriving at the palace to rescue her from the dark demon.
Yasmine: She said as she pretended to faint. Y-You saved my life...
Elijah: Runs over to her to catch her. Oh, no! Please wake up...The evil spirit is gone forever.
Yasmine: She opened her eyes and said. You saved me by destroying the evil spirit of the castle.
Elijah: It was my pleasure...
Elijah: We must get out of the castle before the moon sets.
Elijah: Do you know where I must go to find the water of life?
Yasmine: Pretends to point to an invisible fountain nearby. The water of life flows from that fountain...
Elijah: He said as he ran away. Hurry now! You must leave the castle. I'll stay behind to gather some of the water.
Yasmine: She gasps. But I don't even know who you are!
Elijah: He stopped for a bit and turned back. I am known as Joseph to my friends. Hurry now! You must go!
Prince Joseph ran away before Princess Anna could ask him more questions. Then she found his sword laying on the ground and picked it up to examine it.
Yasmine: Oh, his sword! Prince Joseph the benevolent.
Prince Joseph had told the princess why he had to return at once with the precious water of life. But before he parted, he had vowed that when his father was well again, he would court the princess in the manner to which she was entitled. As she rode with his horse for miles far away from the haunted castle, he found his older brother Prince Baron lying in the grass struggling to move and stand up.
Michael: H-Help me.
Elijah: He pretended to get off his fake horse. Huh?! Baron! Brother, get up!
Michael: I can't move! I have no strength!
Elijah: Don't try to move. I'm here now and I'll be able to help!
Michael: No, it's too late. No one can help me now.
Elijah: No, it's not. The water of life shall save you.
The prince poured the precious water from the flask into his older brother's mouth and within seconds, Prince Baron was cured.
Michael: My strength has returned. I'm completely recovered.
Elijah: It's a miracle, my brother. You've been drinking this. The water of life.
Michael: So Joseph, you did find it.
Elijah: Father will be saved.
Michael: He told himself. Yes, he will. But I shall give it to him, not you!
Elijah: He turned away to his fake horse and said, Come. There's not a moment to spare.
Michael: He pretended to look away. Yes! That'll work. I'll switch the waters on him.
