As Yasmine's daydream continued, the bright yellow moonlight continued to bathe the castle in an otherworldly glow, casting long shadows across its ancient walls. The sound of the tidal waves nearby grew louder, intensifying the sense of urgency in the scene. Amid the chaos and despair, Prince Joseph's keen eyes spotted a giant crystal ball glimmering mysteriously over the trees in the distance. Its ethereal radiance stood out against the dark backdrop, a beacon of hope and a potential solution to the dire situation they found themselves in.
Prince Joseph: Magic of the moonlight, break the evil spell!
The crystal ball revealed its ray of bright lights and helped Prince Joseph open the locked door with all his might. When the door broke open, the door handle turned into the bodies of dead lizards. Inside the room, Princess Anna was screaming as she released herself from the claws of the dragon. The power of the moonlight was unbearable as the monster covered his eyes while they were being blinded. Eventually, the monster's presence diminished when the moonlight disappeared.
Princess Anna: Y-You saved my life... She said as she fainted.
Prince Joseph: He ran forward to her. Oh, no! Please wake up. The evil spirit is gone forever...
As the scene progresses, they were about to kiss until Yasmine woke up from her thoughts. Mr. Waisanen had just stopped the video halfway through and he asked the class a random question about it.
Mr. Waisanen: Who can tell me the name of the physicist who found out that the tubes also emitted light from the positive electrode of the cathode ray?
No one raised their hands, but Mr. Waisanen decided to call on someone.
Mr. Waisanen: Yasmine? How about you this time? Since you always seemed focused during our lessons...
Yasmine: She struggled to know what to say. Uhh...What cathode ray?
Mr. Waisanen: What a letdown...I was hoping you'd know.
Elijah: I can answer, Mr. Waisanen. The physicist who discovered the positive electrode was the one who became a motivational speaker!
Elijah: Because he knew that they stay positive in the face of negativity!
Elijah: Also, it's obvious Yasmine can't answer because positive electrodes got her tongue.
The entire class laughed and Mr. Waisanen laughed as well as shaking his head.
Mr. Waisanen: Never get tired hearing your slangs, Mr. Knoxx. Good one you got. But the answer I was looking for was Eugen Goldstein.
A few weeks had passed since Elijah had entered Yasmine's life, bringing with him a whirlwind of emotions and thoughts that had kept her anticipating each day. Their interactions had been filled with playful teasing, chemistry lessons, and rehearsals for their upcoming drama performance.
The day of the first group rehearsal finally arrived, and Miss Delacourt had decided that each group would have the chance to practice before their final performance. Once the previous group had finished reciting their lines and acting out their scene from the script, it was Elijah and his group's turn to take the stage. Eva stepped forward to narrate the setting of the story.
