Chapter 7

Maki was panting with fear and rage. Her cheeks were flushed, and her heart felt like it was gonna burst out of her chest.

"Come on, let's calm down now. Tell me what happened." Kaede said.

"Do you know the nurse here? The one with the fluffy auburn hair?" Maki asked in a panic, hoping Kaede would say yes.

"Nurse Yadashi? Yeah I know of her. She's kind of a bitch." Kaede said, rolling her eyes.

"Good. I want you to walk into that hospital and tell her off. Right. Now." Maki demanded. "She exposed me for murdering her brother, and I am certain she's calling authorities as we speak."

Kaede nodded. "I'll go talk to her."

Kaede stormed into the hospital. "Nurse Yadashi." She called out. Nurse Yadashi turned her head to Kaede.

"We need to talk." Kaede said.

Nurse Yadashi walked over to her, her heels clicking on the floor. "Yes?"

Kaede scrunched her face. "So I hear you're talking smack about Maki, huh?" The nurse giggled and shook her head.

"Taking smack? Honey, revealing the truth about that little hoe is not talking smack. I'd rather my brother killed her and got arrested instead. That bitch killed my own blood and got away with it."

"Yeah, no shit. She's an assassin.' Kaede snapped. "She's paid to kill people discreetly."

Nurse Yadashi death stared Kaede, and leaned over to her. "Hey, don't use that tone with me, whore. If you continue to give me that attitude you'll be visiting this hospital more often."

Kaede gave the woman daggers as she leaned in closer to her face. "You can use your little threats all you want, but you won't do anything to scare me. Find someone else to intimidate, because I'm not the one."

Nurse Yadashi crossed her arms. "I don't care if you're afraid of me or not. I just don't want you bringing up Maki when I already had to see her today. You don't understand how careless she is. She gets paid to take lives for crying out loud!"

Kaede has to think on it. True, Maki's job revolved around violence and murder, but that didn't necessarily mean she was careless.

"Actually, she's not the heartless brute you think she is." Kaede spoke confidently. "Yes, Maki has a brutal job, but that doesn't mean it doesn't affect her. She has watched so many of her comrades be murdered and imprisoned."

The nurse nodded. "I see. Well, murder is still murder. She can't just slit throats because  someone was being a big meanie head to her." She said with sarcasm.

Kaede. "But it pays her bills. It keeps food on the table for her and Kaito. Now go outside and apologize to her, or we'll go outside for different reasons."

Nurse Yadashi's eyes widened at Kaede's harsh remarks. "Excuse me? Are you trying to start a fight?"

Kaede smirked. "Yeah, so what?"

The nurse had enough, and she attempted to clock Kaede in her jaw. Kaede quickly ducked, and threw a clean punch at the nurse's nose, knocking her to the ground.

Kaede wlkaed over to Nurse Yadashi, and grabbed her by her uniform shirt. "You wanted a fight, you got a fight." Kaede tried to walk away, but that resorted into her hair getting pulled. Kaede groaned in pain as she got knocked over, but she didn't give up.

Kaede grabbed Yadashi by her auburn locks, and continued to throw more punches until her nose bled.

A doctor was watching from the window on the 4th floor. His eyes widened at the sight.

"Oh my god..." He whispered.

He quickly ran to the lobby and shouted.

"CATFIGHT!"

Nurses, doctors, patients, visitors and all ran outside to watch the fight. Kaede relied on her fists to solve their conflict, but Nurse Yadashi just kept going. Her fists bloody, and her knuckles bruised from continuous swings. Kaede wasn't gonna lose if it meant the whole hospital was watching, and she especially focused on winning if it meant Yadashi was gonna continue talking shit about Maki.

Kaede tackled Nurse Yadashi on the asphalt, and continued punching her with a more brutal force. Kaede stood up above the weak, beaten nurse.

"Let's put this show to an end."

Kaede was about to stomp Yadashi's face, but before she could do her finishing move, cop cars were already surrounding the hospital.

The officer pulled out, and immediately stomped on over to the scene. Shoving and pushing away anyone who stood in his path.

"What do you think this is? Street Fighter?" He yelped. Another officer cuffed Kaede.

"Let's go, Goldilocks." He scoffed.

"But, you dint get it-"

"Tell it to the judge!"

Shuichi ran outside as he watched Kaede get pulled into the cop car.

"Kaede!"

He tried to stop the officers, but it was too late. The vehicle got smaller and smaller.
