ughhhhhh i'm so exhausted and stressed writing is the only thing that calms me (writing ab rin 😍)

"ready for loki's 'harsh training' today?" you felt as karasu wrapped his arm around your shivering frame and gently pulled you into his side. "i talked to one of the french dudes and he said that he's basically a drill sergeant"
you groaned softly at these news, turning so you could hug karasu's torso and press closer into him with a small yawn. "are you serious..?" you asked. "he seemed pretty cool that one time we played against him and those other guys.."
karasu hummed softly, looking down at you while gently touching the ends of your hair. "yeah.. seemed like it, didn't it?" he muttered. "are you really that cold..?" you heard karasu laugh while you shivered, hugging yourself with a soft groan. "its fucking freezing in here"
a loud clap sounded from the entrance of the field and you turned to see julien loki walking towards where you and the others were. he stood before all of you with a tablet in his hand, looking at it and scrolling before looking up at all of you, seemingly individually. "sorry it took so long, but i was provided these ear pieces for all of you" he spoke in english, one of the french players running up to him and grabbing a box from him.
you watched with squinted eyes, leaning forward to look as he gave nanase two small ear buds and moving on down the line. rin looked at it with disinterest, shidou looked almost ecstatic while turning it over in his hand, and finally, you and karasu got a pair.
'mikage' you read the name on the side of it in your head, immediately thinking of reo.
"these ear pieces allow you to know what we're saying in our language and allow us to know what you're saying in your language, though its more of a prototype for now" as you put the ear piece in, you began to hear what loki was saying in japanese. the device was impressive to say the least. "you will keep these in during the day and during matches and if not, you will be lost and it'd only be your own fault"
"also.. try not to lose them. im sure mr jinpachi wouldn't want to ask mr mikage for any more of these"
a small laugh sounded from you, slightly covering your mouth so it was muffled. one thing you've gathered about loki was that he seemed very gentleman like. during your first meeting with him, he defended rin against that one weird blond guy that you don't even remember the name of.
"do you know what i'm saying?"
you looked at karasu when he started talking, watching as he spoke in a different language but you heard him in japanese. "what language was that?" your nose scrunched up in confusion, a breathy laugh threatening to slip passed your lips.
"polish, i think.. i read it in a book i found" he snorted a laugh, grunting when shidou came up and dropped a heavy arm around his shoulder. "i didn't know you could read," he grinned and tilted his head to look at karasu. "you're smarter than i originally thought"
"fuck off" karasu pushed his arm off with a glare.
you laughed at the interaction and gave karasu a teasing grin. "don't worry karasu, i at least knew you were smart enough to be able to read"
"you both suck," he chuckled, shaking his head and slightly scratching at his cheek. "i'm actually a pretty good student, i'll have you know. i bet y'all aren't even getting straight c's - or at least shidou isn't" both you and karasu laughed, you trying to hide your laugh behind your hand but failing.
shidou's only response to that was a roll of his eyes, which made you wonder if it was true or not. "none of that matters when i'm a world famous player" he bragged as if it was already his own success. it was easy to notice how ambitious shidou ryusei was. "i don't expect you to ever know about that, karasu"
the small banter died as karasu muttered a soft 'whatever' and slightly turned away to look at everyone else in the room.
thinking about the training you were about to face made you wanna sneak off of the field and back to the warmth of your bed. the first three days back in blue lock were spent on individual training, loki planning on working with everyone on the fourth day so he could observe then assess.
so far, your training with your roommates was hell. loki's training was something you absolutely didn't look forward to if it was anything like the already intense training that left you sore after all of these past three days. you could blame rin for your aching joints as he always held you back and made you play defense while he tried scoring on you long after everyone else already left.
and you didn't even get any romantic moments with him, which was sick of him to do. you figured that the least he could do was slip you a kiss or 'accidentally' fall into you.
a huff slipped passed your lips at the thought. how selfish could rin be? hoarding his affection from you as if he didn't like you. it was starting to seem like he was lying to you about his feelings, though you might've just been expecting too much from a person like rin. he was pretty closed off. the most affection you've gotten from him was when he had you pinned against a wall and was pissed off.
maybe pissing rin off was the way to get him to just make out with you. maybe you should just pull out all your moved from first selection, though none of them were intentional at the time.
though, now, he liked you and was vocal about it but neither of you had an interaction like before yet.
this whole thing was somewhat frustrating to you until you remembered where you were and what you were here for. to rin, blue lock would help him with his dream and if you really thought about it, rin probably only thought of you as a small crush that wouldn't matter in his future even though you were bending over backwards trying to figure out how to get him.
it was depressing to think about. his dreams were solid while your reasoning to play the sport rin had dedicated his life to was for a man that you hardly even thought about anymore. if anything, your wanting to play football was losing its spark and it'd soon become a 'phase' like figure skating was or even your long years of ballet.
a part of you wanted to find a new reason to play, increase your desire to score goals but it was hard to find one. for now, all you were relying on was the attention this stage of blue lock might bring you, craving the praise from your plays or any goals you'd make in the future.
but with what you'd face in the next few months, it was hard to tell exactly how long you'd be interested in football and how willing you were to wasting your days away playing a sport you weren't looking for a career in.
