"...and I found her while going to my second class, Theory and Practice of Journalism, and man, I don't know where I got the balls from but I went to her and asked her for her name and then invited her for the party on Friday night and— Minho are you even listening to me?"

The older eyes were focused on the waving leaves from some tree in the campus grounds. They were in the little picnic area, sitting on a typical wooden table with benches at both sides, eating boredly as he pretended to listen to Jisung talk about that Christyn girl. Changbin, Hyunjin and Felix were having their own little conversation and Chan, Jeongin and Seungmin where nowhere to be found, probably having lunch at a different time or something.

At the mention of his name, Minho snapped his head to look at Jisung, who was pouting. He hadn't touched his fried rice but had eaten all the pork in it.

"Sorry, what were you saying?" Minho smiled tenderly, something he couldn't avoid when talking to his best friend.

"Minhooooo!" whined Jisung, shaking the older dramatically and making him laugh. "I was telling you how I had enough courage to ask Christyn to the party on Friday!"

"Oh, cool. Good job, Sung." his mood dropped almost instantly. Jisung had invited Christyn to the freshmen's welcome party and not him.

"You guys are talking about the party?" immediately said Felix. "Are you coming, Minho?"

"I don't know, no one invited me. I didn't go to my welcome party last year either. It's not that big of a deal if I don't go." he shrugged, bitting his chicken sandwich.

"Last year you didn't want to come cause you had movie night with Jisung." said Changbin, kind of exposing Minho to the rest.

He swallowed the bite in his mouth to speak "Fridays are— were —movie nights and I was no one to break that tradition. Besides, I haven't been invited to this year's party so I won't go there if no one wants me there."

"I want you there, so consider this as an invitation." smiled Hyunjin, a bit sad that no one had thought about poor ol' Minho. Well, they were all expecting Jisung to invite him, he was his best friend after all so it was kind of a shock when the older said— not explicitly —how the younger hadn't done such thing.

"Thanks, Hyun. I'll think about it." with a casual tone, the unbothered one he always had, no one could tell what he was thinking as he bit his chicken sandwich again.

"Did you miss your freshman welcome party for me?" quietly asked Jisung with a frown, only for Minho to hear.

The other three had gone back to their previous conversation, or basically Changbin commenting on every professor both freshmen had that he had had last year as well, giving them tips on how to deal with some of them or telling what he had heard from other students about the teachers he didn't have but Felix or Hyunjin did now.

"It's okay, Ji. I preferred spending the night watching movies with you." he smiled and waved, dismissing the topic as if it was nothing, because to him it really was nothing important at all.

He would choose movie night with Jisung over the stupid party a thousand times.

"But now I feel bad!" the younger said, still frowning as he rested his head on Minho's shoulder. The older's heart skipped a beat.

"If you feel bad about something it should be about not eating the fried rice I cooked for you this morning!" Minho ruffled Jisung's hair lovingly and pointed with his sandwich towards the boy's lunch box.

Jisung chuckled at the action and Minho's heart did a weird flip as he agreed and started stuffing his cheeks with bits of rice. The older's phone pinged with a new message from Changbin, just saying 'whipped'. He just rolled his eyes and flipped the guy off as he went back to eating his sandwich until lunch break was over.
