Gi Osung followed the female officer who addressed him earlier. They entered the police station and pursued their paces until they reached the interrogation room. The officer inserted her keys into the lock and unlocked the door. She stepped aside, letting him enter the room. As soon as they settled down, the officer flipped through some papers on a clipboard and pressed the record button on the device next to her, indicating that she was prepared to start this interview. A few officers were actively listening and watching this interview in a control room. Gi Osung kept his composure, waiting for the officer to begin. Lie your way out, don't slip.
The officer's eyes swiftly directed to Gi Osung's pocket, where she noticed his pistol hanging. "Before I start asking questions about your identification, I want to bring your attention to the pistol that is hanging from your pocket. Why do you have a pistol inside there?" Gi Osung gulped, not expecting the unforeseen question. His confidence descended. "I needed it for protection, I didn't feel safe walking alone." He lied. He wished that his answer sounded logical to the officer and that it would lift the weight off his shoulders. "Okay." She scribbled a note. The officers in the control room roared with laughter at his response. "Jooryung can't possibly believe that!" One of them said. "Hand me the pistol." She instructed. He obeyed and passed his pistol to her. "Now, on to your identification, what is your name?" She asked. "My name is Gi Osung." He replied. Officer Jooryung wrote the remaining of his information down. Gi Osung was identified and could be a suspect when all is said and done. "I know that you were at the scene already, but I want to be correct. Where were you when the incident occurred?" An upcoming lie emerged in his throat. "I was on my way to work, and I heard gunshots near the building. I hid there waiting for them to stop just then, a girl who looked awfully ill got shot in front me. " He spat his twisted lie. Officer Jooryung inclined her head. "Did you think of using your pistol to protect you when the incident occurred?" Gi Osung shook his head. "No, the situation happened so fast." He faked a tremble. "There is no need to be scared, relax." Officer Jooryung's supposed sympathetic tone came out a little harsher than she intended to. She was faking her gestures and tone as well to make Gi Osung feel innocent when in her mind, she knew that Gi Osung was lying. The interview turned into a game of manipulation and Gi Osung had no idea she was playing the game with him. Officer Jooryung laughed, uncovering the fake emotions she held. "You're ridiculous, and here is why. There are security cameras surrounding the area. Were you oblivious of that fact?" Gi Osung felt his heart lunge in his chest. "Excuse me, what did you say?" I'm dreaming. " Security cameras collected footage of you aiming your pistol at two girls and you shot both of them. Is that what you meant to tell me?" Officer Jooryung found his reaction amusing. "I-I don't know what you're speaking of, I was on my way to work, and I saw those girls get shot. I didn't shoot them! You can ask anybody who was at the scene!" He could swear that people were at the scene and Officer Jooryung would dismiss his claims. Excuses after excuses rolled in her way. "You were the only person at the scene. Admit it." Officer Jooryung's gaze narrowed. "Fine, I did shoot them." Gi Osung confessed, he didn't look her in the eyes. She scribbled one last note and stopped the recording. "You will have a small chance of being granted bail. Don't think you have a way out of this." Officer Jooryung informed him.
. . .
Chanmi was currently resting after the extensive surgery that was performed on her, the surgeons were able to remove the bullets that pierced her back, and they repaired the injuries she sustained. Because of her loss, the surgeons had requested additional blood for a transfusion. A nurse noticed Sooheon in the waiting room, he rode along with the paramedics to the hospital when an ambulance picked them up and to the hospital workers, he appeared to be a loved one of Chanmi so the nurse approached him. He gave in and donated his blood to her.
Chanmi awakened, taking in her environment. The last memory she remembered was separating Namra and Sooheon from each other when Namra was attacking him. Now, she was lying in a hospital bed with a sore sensation in her back. The grogginess was enclosing her. "What are you doing here?" It was bewildering for Chanmi to see Sooheon sitting by her bedside. "I wanted to make sure you were okay. The altercation escalated and I feared that you wouldn't survive. I'm pleased to see that you're awake." Sooheon smiled softly. "You saved me." Chanmi didn't have to be told that Sooheon saved her because it accelerated straight into her heart and registered her brain. She could've died in the absence of immediate help and Sooheon called for it without further delay. She couldn't name one person who would do that for her before Sooheon. "I did." Sooheon smiled proudly, knowing that Chanmi acknowledges that he has saved her and would do it again in the condition that she would stay alive to accomplish her goals. They weren't going to allow two battles to crush them, they will discover the person that failed to kill them and that was a promise that wasn't going to break.
. . .Namra was resting after the surgery that was performed on her too. The surgeons removed pieces of the bullet in her right leg. Throughout the surgery, they found an unusual color in Namra's blood. It was between a jet-black and specks of wine-red. The dried blood on her leg was entirely jet black not equivalent to a human's blood but when they cut her leg open, they found the wine-red color combining with the jet-black liquid. The black liquid showed signs of bacteria in her bloodstream. One surgeon looked at the wound around her eye and connected the details mentally. At the final stage of the surgery, they came to a conclusion, where they would have Namra stay at the hospital for recovery. They defined recovery as her undergoing physical therapy and them observing her condition. If Namra woke up in this present time, she would hate everything about the conclusion. An induced coma it is.
