"Hello, this is a connected call from Yongtan County Jail from inmate Gi Osung. Say yes or press one to accept this call. To decline say no or press two.""Yes." Jihyun replied. She waited anxiously while the phone rang. In six seconds, the call was answered and followed by a faint breath on the other end of the line. Gi Osung was silenced straight away with Jihyun's outburst. "Osung what the hell did you do? Our parents are worried sick about you, you've been missing for twenty-four hours, and you didn't think to call us before to let us know you were arrested!" Her adrenaline increased ferociously, she had known her brother as playful, antagonizing, and childish, but jail was the last place she would imagine him in. Taking his minor flaws into account. "I'm in here for assault charges, for shooting two girls. " He managed to disclose, and he certainly couldn't say that to her face. "You should be in prison! Locked up for your whole life!" Jihyun spiked her explosion of vehement in the interior of his chest. "Jihyun, is that Osung?" Their dad asked in the background. "Yes, he wants to talk to you." She responded in a lighter manner. He retrieved the phone from her and placed it close to his ear. " You've gone mad, my one and only son is in jail! Did I raise you to be a monster? My reputation will be demolished! Gi Osung you are a disgrace to this family! A complete disaster congesting the world!" His infuriated dad roared into the phone. Gi Osung was astonished from the power in his dad's voice and vigorously wrecked the phone, resetting it in its holder.
"Officer Jooryung it's good to see you! What brings you here today?" An employee at the front desk of the hospital greeted her vibrantly. "I want to talk with a patient, Ok Chanmi." Officer Jooryung said. The employee loaded a page with the room numbers on them and she looked up at Officer Jooryung. "Ok Chanmi is located in room number two-eleven, it is upstairs." The employee enlightened Officer Jooryung. She expressed gratitude for her assistance.
Officer Jooryung knocked on Chanmi's door. "This is officer Kim Jooryung of the Yongtan county police department, I have a couple questions I want to ask you. May I enter your room?" "Yes." Chanmi replied. Officer Jooryung scanned the room card and opened the door, stepping inside the room. " And I hope I won't offend you with these questions." Officer Jooryung understood what provoked this incident to happen and she felt considerate of Chanmi's feelings. Although, they were unknown. She sat down at her bedside. "What are we going to discuss?" Chanmi asked. "Your incident. We detained the person who attempted to kill you and his phone got confiscated. I obtained printed transcripts of the messages he sent you and I would like to review them." On the outside, Chanmi seemed serene, unaffected by her revelation but in the inside, she was horrified. The officer would display their entanglement of death, strangling their wishes upon one another. It would've taken a single person to engage in this turmoil and alternatively there was a duo. "I'm good on conversing about the incident." She consented to start her interview and hence they did.
"What would be an accurate description of the events that transpired?" Officer Jooryung queried, yearning for her truth. Chanmi regained her swarm of memories and could hear the gunshots clearer. "I was breaking up an argument and I felt pangs on my back. I didn't know where they were coming from and my friend above me was crying for help. That's when I found out that I got shot." Officer Jooryung wrote the details down and turned to the transcripts she mentioned formerly. She gave Chanmi a segment of the transcript. "Can you read and explain to me the significance of the message presented in front of you?" Chanmi looked down at the message she clutched. "You guessed wrong and this isn't over so don't play your little tricks on me lol." " He was threatening to hurt me again and thought that I would hurt him if he didn't stop." "The bottom sentence." Chanmi had strived to avoid the message. "Those little gun shots will operate on you." She said in an undertone. "There wasn't a glitch in the messages, was there?" "No Ma'am." Chanmi shook her head. "Why did you say that to him?" The tension in Gi Osung's interview returned in the air. "I felt threatened, and I wanted to scare him off. Delivering the same energy." Chanmi spat out her truthful reality. "I wasn't in a good mindset when I wrote the message, I didn't intend to veritably hurt him." A rampage took over her mind when knowing that her brother's killer was texting her, but she coveted vengeance and still sought justice. Arresting the guy was an initiative. "Would you describe the messages as a mutual communication?" Mutual was an exaggeration. "We despise each other regardless of how common we text. The anonymous person is the person that is devoted to texting me." Anonymous person. "You don't know who he is?" Chanmi's remark hooked Officer Jooryung's attention. "I can give you a description of him." "Go on." Officer Jooryung was intrigued to listen to Chanmi's description of the anonymous person. "He had a black mullet haircut and there was a big scar near his eye. He wore a white and red jacket with black pants." Chanmi was positive that her description fit what Officer Jooryung saw. "That's not the anonymous person. I interviewed him, and he does not fit your description. Not in the slightest." Officer Jooryung differed. Chanmi gaped. No connections were made with the descriptions. "Would you like to know who the anonymous person is?" "Yes." The divulgement would resolve the most tremendous dilemma she's endured. "His name is Gi Osung. He is the anonymous person that messaged your death threats, and he is in jail for aggravated assault and assault with a deadly weapon. He maintained communication with a partner named Gwi Nam whom I'm assuming was the person who interacted with you. Am I correct?" Chanmi shrugged. "I think so." "I'll take that as a yes. And one last thing..." She picked up a microchip and handed it to her. "I'm giving you a microchip in case someone attempts to harm you. Plug it in your phone and when a dangerous situation occurs, press the side button on your phone, okay?" "Okay." Chanmi smiled. She would dwell on her safety for now.
