On July 28, 2023, Gi Osung pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated assault and the second-degree murder of Park Wonseok and Gwi Nam. The aggravated assault charge was evident, Gi Osung had confessed to shooting Namra and Chanmi during the interview alongside security cameras captivating footage of Gi Osung committing the crime. A lawyer was inessential for that section in the trial. The vague messages modified the notion entailing the case, Wonseok wasn't alone when he encountered death; Gi Osung associated with it. He pushed Wonseok to his death. Contrarily, the courtroom focused on the ambiance amongst the messages Gi Osung sent. His family's mirage came true, their member is a monster.  He would serve fifty years to life in prison without the possibility of parole. His lies ruminated him, he was trapped forever in the cemented grounds.

In the conclusion of the trial, Chanmi walked to the witness stand and discoursed her testimony to the defendant, Gi Osung. She avoided eye contact with him and fixated on the paper below her. "My message to you is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. I am not speaking for my benefit; it is for my brother's. I moved to Yongtan hurting for his truth and yours too. I knew in my soul that my brother would never want to end his life as it progressed. He was eighteen when you murdered him, he wanted to serve in the military after graduating and the destiny was stolen from him. I still ponder on why you did, but I guess I will never know. Rumors spiraled that I was the new girl and it triggered one. I didn't envision my journey costing my life. You and your friend Gwi Nam conspiring how to torment me and when I tried to get away you were eager for more. Your idea of my death was fascinating to you. The bullets that pierced me mesmerized you and when you escaped jail, you wanted to try again. You didn't think your friend did a better stunt of scaring me and you killed him. Your partner in crime is dead and I have to live with trauma because of you. Conceive this as a lecture to not plunge your secrets, the world is viewing you. Your facade doesn't go unnoticed. While you will serve your life in prison, justice has been served for my brother. You won't feel remorse and for that I don't forgive you." Chanmi concluded, the jury erupted in applause.

"Doctor she's awake!" A nurse proclaimed, seeing Namra moving. Namra regained consciousness, her bloodshot eyes blinked open. Her settings looked surreal, and she would be marveled to cognize she's been lying in a hospital bed for months. A violation renewed to an induced coma. The doctors didn't previse that her injury would incept her unconsciousness. Throughout the length of Namra's coma, scientists behind the scenes developed a vaccine called Cepsis vaccine, similar to the actual condition Sepsis in which the body responses to infection and produces an injury to its distinct tissues and organs. In Hyosan high school's biology classroom, a rat was contaminated with venomous chemicals, and it bit a student who then infused them roughly to the whole school. The venomous chemicals carried bacteria and it mutated to an infectious zombie virus that is known now as Cepsis. Cepsis flowed in Namra's bloodstream and was verging on to the remnants of her body. The head doctor accessed her room and brought a syringe with him. Questions were deemed needless. "I'm going to inject medicine for your virus. This will help you heal." The doctor cautioned, Namra steadily and drowsily lifted the short sleeve of her shirt. The doctor injected the fluid into her shoulder. Namra was the first patient to receive the Cepsis vaccine and she reacted well to it. Making her the only survivor of the Cepsis epidemic.

Due to the fact that Gi Osung is in prison, the world wasn't interrupted by his horrendous delicts anymore. Exclusively, Chanmi and Sooheon. To celebrate better, they voyaged to the beach where they would take in the comforting and gratifying locality. The salty air, grainy sand, and sloshing waves settled in their senses wholly.

They sat in the sand watching the sky gleam in golden streaks. "Normally I don't compliment nor express pride for someone, but this feels foreign to me. You've come long way; it's crazy that you have been able to achieve many things and it feels that it was completed in less time. I'm proud of you." Sooheon said, he reminisced the day he offered Chanmi the deal and she had accepted his help. "I have no words to describe how grateful I am for your guidance and empathy during my grief, when I moved to Yongtan I had no one to lean on for help. Even after I got into that accident with you, you came to me with an open mind. I can't tell you a single person that would do that for me. I achieved what I invariably wanted to do, and I couldn't have without you. I'm proud of you, we're a team." Chanmi beamed as tears shimmered in her eyes. There wasn't a touch of sadness within them, she brimmed with bliss. Sooheon took out a scarlet laced bracelet from a pouch that his mother gifted him. The bracelet was the last trace of his mother and he considered that Chanmi should retain it. She became a special person in his life. She couldn't be just a friend, Sooheon wanted more. Endless tears streamed from her eyes the second her eyes laid on the bracelet. "I should've given you this when you won our game at the arcade, and I know it may connote nothing to you. All I'm trying to say is, I like you. I'm giving you my bracelet because I like you, I couldn't work out the words back then and I can't change that, but I can't secrete my esteem evermore. I can't look you in the eyes and pretend that I wouldn't go on vulnerable challenges for you. I want the bracelet to be a symbol of my trust for you, treasure the bracelet all you want." Sooheon heartfeltly confessed, putting the bracelet in the palm of her hand; interwinding his fingers around hers. "It so happens that I feel the same way, I've eclipsed my gratitude with love. Do you love me?" Chanmi heard him say like and she wanted to know if he did solemnly and confessed with the same aura. "I love you." Sooheon gently cupped and lifted her chin, pulling her in, pressing his lips onto hers, they collided in a perfect rhythm bonding with passion and adoration. Once they pulled away, they gazed across the horizon and fantasized a future together. The past wouldn't be forgotten yet the events would seize to happen. The girls would forsake their crazy ways.

Said he likes crazy girls
But he hates when I act crazy
It takes two to toxic.
