"Hello, this is a connected call from Yongtan County Jail from inmate Gi Osung. Say yes or press one to accept this call. To decline say no or press two."
Missing poster flyers had distributed widely in Yongtan of Gi Osung's disappearance. This was the last recorded call between Gwi Nam and Gi Osung. Gwi Nam had no conception of where Gi Osung might've been, their communication came to be inactive and making a phone call to the police department was his last resort. Besides, he had no conception of the expanse of danger he was going to put Gi Osung in.
"I don't need more people yelling at me, so please hear me out respectfully." Gi Osung couldn't surpass the spinning sentiments relating to the fierce conversation he had with his family about his present phase of punishment. He was stranded and couldn't have Gwi Nam discard him either. The action would disintegrate him. It would be a treason against him. "I'm listening." Gwi Nam affirmed. "I am in here for assault and it will be impossible for me to be freed." He explicated, glancing at the guard who was standing and observing him from across the room. "You're my other half and I have a favor for you." Partner. Gwi Nam got weary, his patience for Gi Osung was superior and always was because they shared the same ego, but he reckoned that he was doing their missions and Gi Osung was putting no effort into his own plan. "You might have to continue without me." Gi Osung is discreet to not release excessive information "No." Gwi Nam rejected. "That wasn't an appeal, I am ordering you to do this favor." Gi Osung asserted his controlling leadership. "I've executed my part of your plan; I'm not trying to be your maid, do the rest in jail." Gwi Nam asserted his independence. "You must do the rest; I don't care that you're dying of exhaustion. You will find them." Gi Osung pressurized him. The obligation was identical to the feeling of being held at gunpoint. Gi Osung held the gun in his hand pointing it to Gwi Nam's head. The guard gave Gi Osung a death stare. "Otherwise, I'll find them." Gi Osung stressed, and wrecked the phone, resetting it in its holder. This was the final role Gwi Nam contributed in.
Ten days later, Chanmi was discharged from the hospital. She stayed at Sooheon's cabin and intended on staying there until she healed and felt that it was safe to rent a new place. For the celebration of her departure, Chanmi and Sooheon wanted to spend the day at an arcade. After the harsh treatment Chanmi suffered, the outing was well-deserved. She needed an escape from the subject of her issues. The issues that oppressed her and the demons that bashed her every chance they possessed.
The arcade was a combustion of neon pink, yellow, green, and orange. Flashes of cyan, red, royal blue, and purple lighting up the wide-ranging scenario. Bass boosted music rousing the enormous speakers concealed in the corners of the arcade. The colorful lights highlighting the checkered designed tiles the players treaded on. There was a variety of games that satisfied each teen, a compilation including, wack-a- mole, driving, fighting, basketball, virtual reality, and claw machines.
Sooheon and Chanmi were attentively smashing the buttons on their machines as their two wrestlers boxed. Sooheon's character was taking every hit like a champ and yet slumped more and more to the beam. One minute ticked on the timer. The stakes got higher and higher. Chanmi's character delivered several brutal blows to its opponent and in the last second Sooheon's character fainted. "Times up!" illuminated their screens and Chanmi won the game. She cheered and Sooheon let out an exaggerated sigh.
After hours of gaming, they were the sole ones at the arcade when everyone was gone. "We should leave, they shut off the lights and no one's here." Sooheon looked around him and was convened with darkness and stillness. "Yeah, I don't think this is going to end well." Chanmi was unfazed by the void, the criminals used it as a tactic on multiple occasions. The best hope they could have at this moment is surviving what was on the move for them. Darkness was the primary caution. They ventured towards the exit, pressing themselves against the doors. The doors didn't budge, and they were reversed to their initial stance. Massive black reflective panels lowered beyond them; the craning noise compelled them to turn around. The panels aired the words, "GAME OVER." In radiant red letters, nothing could be a coincidence. These were recurrent incidents. The lights flickered. "Stop!" Chanmi shouted. The lights stopped bizarrely. A spotlight swayed to the entry and swayed back to a center, shining on Gwi Nam. He arises. "You're dead." Sooheon digested the dreadful sight of him. A nightmare resurfaced from the dead, the motive to his demise. "I'm back from the dead." Gwi Nam sneered. One last fight. Gi Osung crept up behind Gwi Nam and stabbed him with a blade. Chanmi radiated an agonizing, gruesome scream. "Who's next?"
...
Gi Osung descried a vent in his jail cell, he saw it like an escape route and wanted to fulfill his finesse. He enacted the source to his missing posters. He dug his nails into his skin, a leak of blood oozed out from beneath his arm. He curved his arm to permit the blood to drip on the cemented ground. Then, Gi Osung used all his exertion to detach the vent and he jumped practically to his death. He coughed up drops of blood and managed to crawl his way out of the tunnel to an exit. Gi Osung miraculously deserted the jail.
...
Sirens blared, red and blue flashing lights summoned into view. Cop after cop rushed inside the arcade and dragged Gi Osung to their police car. They forced him onto the police car and handcuffed him, shoving him in the car. The side button on Chanmi's phone saved her and Sooheon's life.
