Notes:

This chapter was becoming a bit long for the pace of this story, so I decided to break it up into two. It does get a bit weird.

Thank you so much for reading! xoxoxox

Lena awoke to find herself alone in a prospector tent. There was nothing in the tent except for a cot which she had slept upon. She wore a different outfit than what she arrived in, made of garments that did not feel earthly, though they resembled a synthetic material she had recently been developing for Supergirl.

Before Lena could orient herself, two guards entered and handcuffed her and led her outside toward another larger tent. One of the guards disappeared into the tent and returned moments later.

"The Mistress will see you now."

The guard motioned them to enter, and Lena resisted, digging in her heels. The other guard behind her bumped the back of her knee and she stumbled forward. Inside, the tent had transformed into the inner workings of a space ship. Lena, being the tech nerd that she was, ogled the design before remembering she was being held captive.

A woman was seated at what appeared to be a throne-like chair behind the cockpit. The area in which she sat was dark, except for hatchet lighting that streaked across her face. Lena could make out that the woman seemed eerily familiar, and as she approached, Lena's view of the woman became clearer. She donned Lena's clothes and wore Lena's face down to the dark lipstick shade. The only difference was this Lena seemed slightly older, perhaps in her mid-thirties to early forties.

"Who are you? Why are you wearing my face?" Lena demanded.

The so-called impersonator cocked an eyebrow and smiled wryly. "I am you. Well, not exactly you, but a version of you."

Lena looked the doppelganger up and down, bewildered and intrigued by the other person before her.

"You're me from another universe," she said.

"Indeed I am, Lena Luthor."

"And now you're here on my earth, in my clothes. Just a wild guess but I'd say you're up to no good."

"I have no intention of hurting you. Or anyone."

"Then why are you here? Why did you kidnap me?"

"Ah, it is fascinating to see another version of myself. I can also appreciate your sense of style," the other Lena said, popping her collar.

"It is fascinating, but you still haven't answered my question."

"The truth is I know what you're capable of, doesn't matter what universe. This is because I am you, and I am capable of great things, including possibly thwarting my plans. So now I must keep you out of my way until I have accomplished my task. Oh, and you can thank your brother for tipping me off to your visit and arranging your transportation."

Lena wanted to ask how Lex could have set her up, but then again it was Lex.

"So you're working for Lex-I see other Lenas are disappointing after all."

"I'm not working for that bald fool-I haven't seen him in years, since The End. And I've concluded that he's a shit no matter the universe. But still, I missed that shit, you know?"

As hard as it was for Lena to admit, she could understand what the other Lena meant. As much as she hated her brother, she still loved him and didn't want him dead-even if she did kill him once already.

But there was something about this more mature Lena, the so-called Mistress. She oozed confidence and power. And there was an inherent sensuality about her. Is this a greater version of me or has a supervillain me finally appeared, Lena wondered. And what did the other Lena mean when she said "The End"?
