The day after Max told us about The Battle of the Bands, we immediately got to practice.

For the school band competition we had a whole month and some weeks to practice— but this time...We only have one week!

Classic Max, always telling me things late...

That aside, now that the club is as strong as ever, we're gonna ace this!

Last time I joined the club late which made us need more time, but this time...We're all here. Together.

Well...The club is at least...

Me and the Jomies aren't...

Well never be the same again, will we?

But hey, it's okay...! Sorta...I miss Drew...And Henry and Liam, of course! But...Mainly Drew.

Let's stop thinking about it!

The Battle of the Bands is exactly what I need to get my mind off of things!

"So...What kind of song is it gonna be?" Sean asked, playing around with some beats on his computer.

"Hmm..I was thinking pop! After all, it's a Battle of the Bands...Most people are probably gonna have a song that'll make you excited, you know?" Hailey explained.

Everyone agreed.

"Yeah...And this isn't a school thing— It's an actual competition! Like one of those...Watcha ma call it..?" I started, tapping my finger on the table.

"America's got talent? Next top Idol? UNIVERSE TICKET?!" Milly asked, trying to help me out.

I snapped my fingers.

"Yeah, the last one! Universe ticket!"

Hailey stared at us with a, "Are you serious.." expression.

"Hey! Don't judge, watch the show first!" I retorted against her expression.

Luke chuckled.

"I love that show! Me and Zander watch it together all the time."

"See! It's a good show!" I exclaimed.

Hailey sighed.

"I never said that it wasn't! But really guys...We should start getting the lyrics and beat together! We have one week."

Everyone nodded.

"Yeah...One week is really short...But we got this, don't worry!" I exclaimed again.

"Hey, guys, I think I actually have a beat! What do ya think?" Sean asked, taking his headphones out of his computer and pressing a button.

Suddenly, music started playing from his speakers.

We all paused and started listening.

Mills jumped off the speaker and sat in her chair finally.

After a minute or two, the music stopped and we all cheered.

"That's perfect, Sean! How'd you come up with this so fast?" Hailey exclaimed.

Sean laughed sheepishly.

"Ah, I don't know...I was just playing around with it and came up with this!"

"Well it's perfect! Now me and Jake can come up with some lyrics to go along with it."

"And I can come up with an awesome guitar riff for it!!" Milly exclaimed, playing a rock guitar note.

How'd she get her guitar so fast...
