Chapter 14

3rd Pov

Anuradha was serving breakfast to everyone when she felt the urge to puke. Putting the plate down, she ran to the bathroom. Shiv seeing her like this became very concerned and went after her. She was inside the bathroom puking. He went behind her and bending down he massaged her back. When she came out of the bathroom, he made her sit and drink some water.

"Teri tabiyat kharab hai?" He asked raising his eyebrow.
(You are ill?)

She shook her head

"Toh phir tu ultiya kyu kar rhi hai?"
(Then why are you puking?)

"Bas ek baar hi toh ki hai. Thodi thakaan ho rakhi hai bas" she said looking quite tired.
(I did it once. I am just tired)

"Chup kar tu. Hum abhi vaidh ke paas chalege"
(Shut up. We are going to doctor)

"Ji uski koi zaroorat nhi hai. Mei thik hu. Pakka" she kept her hand on his and pressing it in reassurance.
(No need. I am ok. Really)

"Anuradha" Shiv said sternly.

"Ji bas ek baar hi toh hua hai. Maan jaiye na" She said giving him her puppy eyes. She didn't want to make a big deal out of it even though she felt weak these days.
(Please)

"Thik hai par agar dubaara hua toh hum chalege" he said still not fully convinced.
(Ok but if it happened again we are going)

"Pakka" she said smiling
(Promise)

"Dhyaan rakh apna" Shiv said and kissed her on forehead.
(Take care of yourself)

They both came out of their room and Ma ji asked "Kya hua tha bahu?"
(What happened to you)

"Kuch nhi Ma ji bas thodi thakaan hai" Anuradha replied.
(Nothing just tired)

"Accha" She said and didn't ponder over it much.

Shiv went to the fields and Anuradha continued her work. In afternoon when her brother in laws returned from school, she gave them water as Ansh told her about his day.

"Aur pata hai aapko bhabhi, wo ramesh mujhse bakwas kar raha tha ki mujhe panje mein hara dega. Mene usko ek baar mei hara dia" he told to her proudly.
(And you know, that Ramesh was saying I can't defeat him. Then I defeated him in one go)

"Wahhh" Anuradha praised him.

"Aur nhi toh kya" Ansh said trying to flex his biceps. Anuradha rubbed his hair at his childish act making him smile like a child.
(Really)

"Bhabhi aap sooji ka halwa bana dogi?" Aarav asked her.
(Can you make halwa?)

"Haan zaroor. Bas abhi bana ke layi" she said standing up. Her vision blurred for a second due to which she lost her balance but didn't fall as she held herself.
(Of course)

"Bhabhi aap theek hona?" Ansh asked and Aarav was also looking at her with concern.
(Are you ok?)

"Haan bilkul theek hu" she smiled at them but in reality she didn't feel alright. As she took 2-3 steps ahead, she lost her conscious but before she could hit the floor Aarav and Ansh both caught her . They shouted for their mother.
(Yeah)

"Aarav Vaidh ji ko bula kar la. Hey bhagwaan kya hogaya isse" Ma ji said after they both put Anuradha on khaat. Aarav ran out to call Vaidh.
(Aarav go call doctor)

She arrived at the place and checked Anuradha's pulse. Till then Anuradha had regained her conscious. For further examination they took her in her room. Everybody was really tensed.

Vaidh came out of the room with a smile on her face.
"Aap ek baar daima ko bulwa de" (please call the midwife)
Ma ji recognizing the reason behind it and sent Ansh this time to call Daima. Daima immediately went inside the room to check Anuradha. After somewhat 20 minutes she finally came outside and said "Mubarak ho thakurain aap dadi banne wali hai. Aapki bahu pait se hai"
(Congratulations she is pregnant)

Everybody got super happy. Anuradha's father in law gave her and Vaidh a bundle of cash for telling this news. Ma ji went inside to check on Anuradha who was smiling and blushing. Ma ji hugged her, having happy tears in her eyes. She came out of the room just to come back so she can put away any evil eye that could be on her daughter in law and her grandchild.

"Tum dono apni bhabhi ka khayal rakho hum mandir hoke aate hai" Ma ji said.
(You both take care of her. We are going to temple)

Ma ji and Dadi Ma along with her father in law went to temple for blessings. They wouldn't tell any other person as it was still early.

Shiv returned home somewhat around 5pm and found nobody in verandah. He went to kitchen to find Anuradha but she was not there. He then checked upon his room, where he found Anuradha dozing off. He silently sat beside her and removed a strand of hair that has fallen on her face. Anuradha woke up at this action and immediately sat up.

"Kya hua? Thak gyi thi? Uth kyu gyi?" He asked in concern.
(What happened? You are tired?)

Anuradha shook her head and blushed.
"Thakan nhi hai" she said.
(I am not tired)

"Phir?"
(Then?)

"Aapko kisine bataya nhi?" She asked. Shiv shook his head and looked confused.
(Nobody told you?)

"Kya nhi bataya? Aur Ma, Dadi sab kaha hai?" He asked.
(What are you talking about? And where is everyone?)

"Aap idhar aaye" (come here) she called him closer to her, still being shy. He did as she said still very confused. She moved closer to his ears and whispered "Daima aayi thi unhone bataya ki mein pait se hu"
(Doctor said that I am pregnant)

He looked at her wide eyed and then his face broke into the biggest smile. He felt the happiest man on the earth. He hugged Anuradha. He always wanted their child.

"Sacchi?" He asked breaking the hug.
(Really?)

She nodded her head.

"Tujhe abse apna aur humare hone wale bacche ka poora khayal rakhna hai" he said holding her face with both of his hands. She nodded and he slightly pecked her lips his happiness knowing no bound.
(From now on you have to take care of yourself and our child)
