The Other Road

On a crossroad I stand

Not knowing which to choose

Undecided where my feet will land

For it is the future that I win or life that I lose

One path seem wide and good

I can even hear music gay

Attracted by its festive mood

And bright, blinding lights along its way

The other is dark and dim

You can hardly see what's in

Woods are quiet; rocks are firm

You'll never know what it may bring

So I took the wider one

For I was blinded by the world

I rejected the road of victory

That has a better ending for me

I took the other path

Of worldly wants and trends

Now, there is no turning back

As I meet the sign that says: "DEAD END."
