With hands on your chest
You uttered those words
But when faced with a test
You cruelly broke the chords
I felt like breaking
Into the tiniest bits and pieces
I wished I was just dreaming
For pain continues and love ceases
Is it me expecting?
Or is it you steering a game?
I did give all to overflowing
But it's you who put me in shame
You never cared
Your promises weren't kept
Hoping from the start I was spared
For behind, I was alone and left.
