Lucius POV
Dungeon, First Floor.
Collecting the points, I clicked [YES] while the stones were in my hands.
So, I'm basically selling my magic stones to the system, a glow covered them, making them disappear seconds later. My points, which were initially 3 points for the goblins' deaths, have now risen to 18 points in the system's store at this moment.
"Selling the stones to the system is a great way to loot a lot of points in the system, I won't deny that, but I still need money because I'm kinda broke here!" I thought with a laugh about the state of my wallet, especially when I was a beggar during the last week.
"Well, anyway, let's accumulate more points..." I muttered as I began to advance into the depths of the dungeon.
But I couldn't help but look back and noticed that the pair who had interrupted me earlier were heading back to the surface, but not without turning their gazes towards me, like an animal they were trying to understand. I didn't care, shrugged it off, and continued my way through the tunnels on the first floor.
It didn't take long to find more groups of goblins.
[- FIREBOLT!]
"KEEE!"
*Boom*
[- FIREBOLT!]

[- FIREBOLT!]

[Notification: You Killed 5 First Floor Goblins: 5 Points Added!]
"1 point per monster, which I can't help but comment on how low it is, unfortunately. I hope this improves on the next floors, because if not, it will take an eternity..." I said bitterly, complaining for the second time.
[Notification: You have 5 Goblin Crystals, Do You Want to Convert the Crystals into Points? 5 Points Each.]
[Yes/No]
[Notification: You Received 25 Points for the Crystals.]
[Store Points: (18+5+25) 48 Points.]
"The crystals are good for accumulating points, no doubt. But darn, my throat is starting to burn from yelling a series of Firebolt chants..." I couldn't help but complain about it.
It's not like I was feeling tired or that it would stop me, but I must shout with more control from now on. I don't want to have to return to the surface too early because I have no voice in the next few hours.
My resistance stats are still at rank I, and I'm sure this will affect both my darn throat and my ability to move more inhumanly through the dungeon, but I'll check that stat in the near future. Right now, I want to test my magic abilities.
So I continued walking to find other groups of monsters, and after a while, I was basically killing everything on the floor.
[- FIREBOLT!]
"KEEE!"
*Boom*

I finally saw the stairs descending to the second floor after seeing the same corridors as before. I continued, but unlike the first floor, I didn't encounter goblins; instead, several Dungeon Lizards appeared. However, raising one hand and casting my magic, they disintegrated upon contact with my fire bolt, showing how powerful Firebolt is for early levels.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA" I began to laugh maniacally as my only company was the silence of the dungeon and the occasional sounds of monsters in the corridors ahead.
There was no way not to laugh like this; I was having fun with how easy my life had become now. I felt powerful, like an asura destroying everything in its path, even if it was by casting a weak spell at weak monsters. For someone who had the experience of being ordinary in the 21st century, I was having a fascinating experience.
[Notification: You Killed 7 Second Floor Dungeon Lizards: 14 Points Added!]
[Notification: You have 7 Dungeon Lizard Crystals, Do You Want to Convert the Crystals into Points? 5 Points Each.]
Individual points increased to 2, but the crystals still counted as 5 points each.
Five more monsters appeared, and I cast my spells quickly.
[- FIREBOLT!]

I continued through the tunnels, attacking more Dungeon Lizards that appeared. When I realized it, I had reached the stairs to the third floor, a milestone I used to achieve individually when I came to train to increase my stats points. I would fight until the second floor and still come out slightly injured. However, I couldn't evolve; it was painful memories to see that I started to become a burden to the group of companions who entered the same generation as me and watch them grow while I remained stagnant in the same parameters. Even my former god lost some interest in me, making only two updates to my status in the last year.
Now I couldn't help but get quite excited about my new abilities. I don't know how high I can rise now, but I know I've already surpassed my old self.
"Let's see how far I can go today!" I said confidently.
I rarely went to the lower floors alone; in my memories, I participated in some expeditions with my old family, and I even made it to the eighteenth floor, in other words, the floor of the famous city of Rivira.
So I already have prior knowledge and experience of this dungeon, something I have to be thankful for not having to go through the rigorous classes like Eina's, even though my advisor is someone else...
As I exited, I continued my way, killing everything between the third and fourth floor as I reached it. Everything I've encountered in the dungeon so far has been Kobolds, Goblins, and Dungeon Lizards.
I killed all of them without much difficulty. However, I noticed that I started to have a problem. It wasn't any injury because no monster came close to me without being disintegrated first, but my throat. It was getting dry. I'm not used to chanting spells for a long time, let alone shouting for a full hour since I entered the dungeon.
After killing everything on the fourth floor, I entered the fifth floor. There were no monsters here because it was a resting floor with no respawns. I saw a small stream in it and stopped to drink a bit.
"I should bring bottles with me next time!" I made a mental note.
I rested for 30 minutes before continuing to the sixth floor. War Shadows were quite persistent on this floor, so I found a group and cast several Firebolts at them.
[Notification: You Killed 10 War Shadows on the Sixth Floor: 60 Points Added!]
[Notification: You have 10 War Shadow Crystals, Do You Want to Convert the Crystals into Points? 10 Points Each.]I also noticed that with each floor I descended, the points I gained for each monster's death increased. The goblins and Kobolds on the fourth floor gave me 4 points, unlike those on the third floor, which gave me 3 points, and so on. As for the crystals, they doubled the points as soon as I entered the sixth floor.
Following this logic, the crystals on the eleventh floor should change this amount, either to 15 points or double to 20 points, changing by only 5 levels, like the sixteenth floor, twenty-first, and so on.
I continued through the sixth floor until I found another group of monsters, another group of shadows trying to kill me. They were fast, and I had to be a bit careful, but my spell was faster.
[- FIREBOLT!]
[- FIREBOLT!]
[- FIREBOLT!]
[- FIREBOLT!]After killing more monsters, I found the stairs to the seventh floor. When I entered the floor, I had accumulated nearly 800 points on the sixth floor, a good score for my tests. However, I still had the throat difficulty, and it was getting worse, feeling it more and more hurt after being here for an hour and a half, shouting since I entered the dungeon.
Killer Ants, Purple Moths, Needle Rabbits, and Blue Papilios appeared on this seventh floor. It was easy to handle the fights; however, I was almost caught in a moment by them. While I'm used to having destructive power in front of me, my back is still very exposed, and if I'm not fast enough, I would be severely injured by a group that ambushed me from behind, and I was almost hit. I managed to turn in time and, forcing my throat even further, conjured five Firebolts as fast as I could. I had to be more careful now, especially when I had no physical weapon to defend myself.
After that, I had to stop to rest a bit, and I sat down in the middle of the floor, trying to recover my burning and hoarse throat before going back to the surface floors. I realized I had reached my limit.
"Man, the sixth and seventh floors can be much worse than the previous ones, but I shouldn't be surprised; my points are much better than on the initial floors," I said to myself.
"System, Status." I opened the screen to see if there had been any evolution during this time.
