Lorenzos POV
I don't know why, but all I can think about all week is Lily. I don't understand what's happening to me.
Of course, we got rid of that bastard right away so he wouldn't bother Lily.
I also hired a bodyguard to keep her safe.
I've been trying to forget about her, but I just can't. I've tried not to go to that coffee shop, but every day I want to go more and more. There's not a minute I don't think about her.
That's why I decided to come see her today.
It's only 5:00 a.m. I'd honestly go now, but I figure they're probably not even open yet.
That's why I got up and went to the gym.
I've got to get it out of my system.
----- 3 hours later -----
It's almost 8am and I still want to go see Lily. I'm really excited. I don't know this feeling.
I stopped on the way to pick up some flowers for Lily. I got her purple tulips. And now I'm going to her cafe.
As soon as I got to the cafe, I saw Lily behind the counter. She's beautiful, incredibly beautiful. But what annoyed me was that she had a puffy eye, like a black eye, but maybe she covered it up with makeup.
I picked up the flowers and went to the cafe.
"Hello Lily." I greeted her and she immediately greeted me with a smile. She has a beautiful smile.
"Hello, Mr. Thornbury." She said hello back. She's so beautiful. I can't stop looking at her.
"Call me Lorenzo, it looks like I'll have to come here more often, because I've never had better coffee than yours." I complimented her. I also handed her flowers. "I brought you flowers." To which she had a lovely reaction.
"Awww, thank you. You didn't have to bring me flowers. But they're beautiful." She took them from my hand, as if expecting a bad reaction. "What would you like to try today?" She asked me.
"What's your favorite drink?" I asked her. I couldn't take my eyes off her.
"I don't drink coffee. But I can still recommend some new things." She replied.
"Well, I'll be happy to take your advice-" I was about to finish but we heard a noise, as I turned around I saw a guy, obviously not sober.
"Delilah, where were you yesterday?!" He raised his voice at her. How dare he.
"I was at work and then at home." She answered him quite calmly.
The idiot leaned against the window.
"You weren't at home! I was there and you weren't home! Where were you! You bitch-" as soon as I heard that, I picked him up and led him out.
"Lorenzo, its okay. Thats my boyfriend. I'm used to this." Did Lily tell me that this shit is her boyfriend? Really?
"That idiot is your boyfriend?" I asked her. I am getting mad.
"Of course I am her boyfriend. But she is a bitch anyway!" As soon as he said that, I took him outside and started beating him. Lily ran right out.
"Mr. Thornbury, please leave him alone." She grabbed my arm and dragged me back to the cafe. I could almost feel the sparks from her touch. "Please leave him alone, he'll get over it." My Lily replied.
Since when would I say someone was mine?
"How can you date someone like him? You're better than that Lily, get away from him." I told her right away.
Lily just sighed. "It's not that simple, unfortunately nothing is simple in my family." Did Lily say what she meant?
"Lorenzo? What are you doing here?" I turned around and there in the doorway was Dante.
Lilys POV
I didn't expect Rick to come to my work, he hasn't been here in a while. I'm honestly surprised he even knows where I work, but still. He just made drama here.
"Lorenzo? What are you doing here?" I saw Mr. Rainfort come in right away.
"I'm here for coffee. Just like you." Lorenzo answered him. Honestly I feel bad calling them by their first names, but then again I don't want them to think I'm not listening.
"I'll have a classic, what else would I drink." Dante came up and pointed his hands at me. He always does that. That's why I just smiled at him.
"And what would you like, Mr. Thornbury?" I asked him. He was quiet for a moment, as if in thought, but then Dante slapped his arm and said, "I'll have what Dante had." But he said it in a different tone.
That's why I immediately turned around and did their orders.
As soon as I handed it to them, they gave me the money and they both left together. But Mr. Thornbury still had this weird look on his face.
He was kind of happy when he came in, but now he was leaving really weird. I hope I didn't offend or offend him in any way.
I don't want to make any enemies here, and certainly not with the Mafia. And with the most powerful ones at that.
I've got enough problems, I don't need any more.
