As the final page of the book turned, a cloud of disappointment settled over you. The melancholic ending had left you feeling unsatisfied, yearning for a more uplifting resolution. "What's wrong with the ending?" Shiori asked, a mischievous smirk gracing her lips. "If your dissatisfied, why not step into its pages and craft a non-canon world of your own?" Her words hung enigmatically into the air, enticing you to mold the story according to your whims.

You think about what she said, and how you started your morning with this book placed next to your head. She clearly wanted you to read this, and she wanted you to have this reaction. You can only wonder why...
"Well?" she asks again, watching you. Thinking about this, it has to be a test or trap.
"That's ok. For me, this is fine. It's only the first book in the series after all, right? It'd seem rude to me to change it without having finished the series." Shiori's smirk widens to a full-fledged smile, her bright smile showing how happy she is with your response.
"That's exactly right, Novelite. We have to at least see the full story before we can change anything," she agrees, coming around to your side and resting her head on your shoulder, relaxing even more, before you can hear soft breathing next to you.
