They crawled out slowly onto the bank.
"..we have a meeting tomorrow." Virginia said, even more worry coursing through her veins, as she started trying to save her daughter.
"I believe that is the least of our worries." Maryland chuckled as he started helping her. The moonlight shone over them, stranded on some random place on the Potomac River.
"The meeting.. Is with the other states and father." She continued. The sad chuckling from Maryland stopped, with reality swooping through him.
"..oh." he said as he started to realize that their 3 year old daughter wasn't going to wake up. They began to give up on it, and they leaned against a rock. Maryland had her head in his lap, stroking her hair as Virginia had Derrora's legs in hers. Virginia casted a quick SOS spell with help from Maryland. At this point, it was okay if their family found out.
Delaware POV:
I woke up in the inn, to a magic with a rosy aura around it. It was a message from one of the other states. He sat up to open it.
"H..help.. We need help." The all too familiar voice of Virginia began, showing her in the dark, wet.
"We are...stuck......potomac....injured.." The imagery shifted towards...Maryland? What were they doing out there??
Nevermind that.. I have to save them.
3rd POV
Delaware used his magic to conjure up a portal taking him to the approximate location they were at.
Suddenly, he was in a forest, with a river nearby, glistening in the moonlight.
he explored for a while, before coming across a small house. There were no lanterns on, he noticed quickly as he approached it.
"home of Maryland and Virginia" the door's sign read. It was unlocked, so Delaware creeped inside, shining his lantern. Why would they be living together?
On the cooking pot, there was a pot of soup, not as cold as the air around him. On a table next to it, there was a doll.
He turned towards the other side of the main room. And there he found more children's toys. Did they build a house to pretend to be kids in?
He turned to go into the other room, when on the wall he saw..
Delaware was weirded out.
First, he gets a call for help from two other states, the night before they all met with each other and father,
Then he finds out two people he loves as a sibling live together,
And then that they have a child?
He softly touched the wall, where Maryland, Virginia, and a child's height were marked. Delaware then turned his attention back to the other room, as he freaked it open.
Three beds. Each with a different name on the footboard, and they were currently slid together. He quickly picked out Maryland's name in the low light, then Virginia's, then another person's...it read, "derrora."
