I was the oldest of eight kids. My younger brother, the oldest of my brothers, was ten years younger than me.
Heeseung is very special. He doesn't get in trouble very often but when he does, it's because he struggles to say no to his brothers when they ask him to do something. I've been working on it with him but it takes time so he feels more confident.
Jay has quite the temper, which I am also slowly working on with him. I know he tries to control it but he's only a kid and he struggles. That's when I have to tell him to walk away. He also talks a lot, he doesn't realize it sometimes but he does.
Jake and Sunghoon are the twins. Jake is loud and rambunctious but the sweetest soul. He is shy sometimes and tends to avoid talking to people that he doesn't know. Sunghoon is quiet and calm, most of the time. He does things that I don't understand, like randomly staring into space or zoning out at random points of time. Most of the time, Jake brings him back to reality and I don't even notice that Sunghoon was zoning off. Jake is two minutes older. Sunghoon is actually quite scary sometimes but he learned it from Jay. He cries so little that it makes everyone else do the same when he is sad.
Sunoo is the first sunshine. His apprentice is Jungwon. These two know how to brighten up the worst of days and their presence is mostly calming, sometimes a little overwhelming. They get into trouble a lot even if they don't try to. Whenever Sunoo cries, everyone cries too.
Jungwon is smart and quick to answer to anything. He likes to think before he says anything so he always has the most forward, sarcastic responses. He tries to not show when he is annoyed but I can always tell.
And finally Niki. The little devil maknae. I don't really know how to explain the little monster that is Niki. He can be sweet sometimes but he is definitely spoiled. He gets into the most trouble even when his hyungs try to protect him. My parents adopted him shortly before they left and I was forced to raise him as well as my other brothers. But this is my family, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Third POV
"Hee, where are your brothers?" I walked outside, counting how many of my brothers were there. Heeseung and Jay were out there and so was Sunoo. Jungwon and Niki I know are supposed to be taking a nap, yet they were out there also, but Jake and Sunghoon were not outside and I hadn't heard them inside either."They walked out of the fence a little while ago" Heeseung took a worm from Niki and set it back on the ground before the three year old could eat it.
"Why didn't you come get me?" I wondered, panicking. The boys were not supposed to go outside the fence.
"You told us to stay here. I didn't think you wanted us going inside while your cleaning" Heeseung shrugged. I shook my head and went to go find the twins.
"What are you two doing?!" I walked over to the twins, kneeling down in front of them.
"I was following a butterfly" Jake answered.
"And I got bored being in the backyard" Sunghoon added.
"That is not a good excuse, either of you. Go back inside now and straight to your rooms! I want both of you sitting on your beds when I get up there!" I scolded. Jake abandoned his butterfly and took Sunghoon's hand, standing up.
Spank Spank
"Oww! Noona" Jake pouted. Sunghoon wiped a hand over his eyes before me or Jake could see.
"Go!" I pointed back to the house. Sunghoon and Jake walked back, going to their room and sitting down to wait.
"Heeseung, Jay, keep the kids outside and if I find one of you or them leaves this backyard, you all will be in trouble. Is that clear?" I warned. Heeseung didn't look happy but he nodded and took Niki's hand and brushed the dirt off.
