Ji-an looked over once at her brothers. They were supposed to be paying attention to Sunghoon but of course, Jay and Heeseung were preoccupied with their devices.
"Hey, put your phones up and pay attention to your brother. You know this is important to him" She scolded. Heeseung and Jay huffed, putting their phones away.
"Look at him. GO SUNGHOON! THAT'S MY BROTHER!" Jake cupped both hands around his mouth, yelling as loudly as he could. The shy, embarrassed smile that lit up Sunghoon's face was quite noticeable even from far away. Ji-an laughed at Jake's enthusiasm and then her smile slipped as Sunghoon prepared to go into a triple axel. The commentator's mic turned on just as Sunghoon reached the climax of his jump and started to land.
"And it looks like junior skater Lee Sunghoon has taken a major fall! Could this be the end of his show or will he get up and keep going? Either way, this is going to cause a major drop in his score" And it was quiet for a moment, everyone on the edge of their seats. Sunghoon got up a little, falling back to the ice. He was hunched over, head resting on the cold ground as he punched the ground angrily. Ji-an pushed past her brothers, going down to the small door that led out to the ice. Workers, with their skates on, were already heading out to the ice and one of them carried Sunghoon off the ice.
"Sunghoon!" Jake ran down, getting to his brother just as he was carried off. Sunghoon was crying softly, whether from pain or embarrassment, it was unclear.
"Are you okay?" Ji-an wondered.
"My knee! I twisted it when I fell" Sunghoon gasped out, holding back tears. He turned to the ceiling to hide his shame.
"Okay, your going to be okay. The first aid guys are going to take a look at you and then you'll be all good again" Ji-an desperately wanted to believe that but she had a bad feeling that her words weren't going to be true.
"You don't understand! Even one small injury could ruin an Olympic skater's entire career! I'm doomed" Sunghoon flopped backwards, laying down on the bench.
"Dramatic much" Niki rolled his eyes. Jungwon punched him in the arm. Ji-an threw him a warning look and Niki just shrugged. They all got pushed back once the first aid that was always on hand at these events came rushing in, two of them crowding around Sunghoon. It was clear that the longer they invaded his space, the more overwhelmed that Sunghoon was getting. Sunghoon joined his siblings while they waited for the rankings to be announced. As soon as he stepped out into the open, all lights were on him.
"And here is Lee Sunghoon! Recovered from his earlier fall and surrounded by his family! Everyone must be overjoyed that he is okay!" The commentator announced. Sunghoon waved a little, still leaning on Jay and Jake for support. He had a large brace on his knee already, stabilizing his entire leg. Cheers erupted from all around, filling the silence.
"They love you" Jake squeezed his twin's arm. Sunghoon nodded. He was a little surprised bya all the attention. Ji-an led them back to their seats to watch the rest of the competition. Later, the awards were given out. Sunghoon didn't make it to the top three, considering his bad fall and that he didn't even get a chance to finish his routine.
"Come on, let's go home" Ji-an grabbed her purse, leading the boys. Jake helped Sunghoon out to the car and they headed back to the house.

It had been three months and Sunghoon had not stepped on ice even once. As it turns out, his knee was dislocated but it had been a month since his recovery period ended and he was able to start skating again. But he never did."Alright! Everyone in the car" Ji-an decided. She'd had enough of her brother moping on the couch and not doing anything.
"Where are we going?" Niki wondered. Ji-an nodded her head towards Sunghoon and Niki understood. They had to get the younger of the twins out of this slump that he was in. Once they got to the skating rink and Sunghoon got out, completely oblivious to what was happening. Well, he was oblivious until he got out of the car and went inside, then there were pictures and shouts from everyone there. A competition was currently taking place, for the baby skaters ten and under but suddenly, all the attention was on Sunghoon and not the competitors.
"Looks like someone's famous" Sunoo remarked, grinning at Sunghoon, who returned the gesture.
"Yeah. Olympic level famous" Jungwon added. Sunghoon's smile dropped.
"Dude, not the time" Jay shook his head at Jungwon.
"Sorry, hyung" Jungwon nudged Sunghoon's arm. Sunghoon turned away from him.
"Why are we here?" Sunghoon glared at Ji-an.
"As soon as this is over, your getting on the ice again. I already packed all your things" Ji-an decided for him. Sunghoon scoffed.
"Like hell I'm going to do that" Sunghoon muttered, leaning back and crossing his arms.
"Watch your mouth" Ji-an frowned at the language.
"You don't get to decide that for me. I don't want to skate anymore" Sunghoon stated. Ji-an didn't believe that. Sunghoon had been skating since he was nine and it was the only time that Ji-an had ever seen him truly happy about something. He tried several sports and activities but figure skating was his thing.
"Please try, Hoonie. For me" Jake pulled his twin brother closer to him. Sunghoon pushed him off, ignoring the hurt in Jake's eyes. The performance ended quite quickly and then the place was empty.
"What are you guys doing here? Sunghoon, I haven't seen you in forever!" Sunghoon's coach walked over.
"Hey, Mr. Choi" Sunghoon rolled his eyes. Ji-an looked at him, warning her brother of his attitude.
"Mr. Choi, I was really hoping to help Sunghoon get back on the ice. Could we have the place for a little bit? Two hours, at the most" Ji-an explained.
"Of course, take as much time as you need. I have a class tonight but working out and stretching the mucles is just as important as being on the ice" The coach nodded. Ji-an thanked him once more and turned back to Sunghoon, who had sat down and was still sulking. He was determined not to get on the ice.
"Sunghoonie-hyung! Can you teach me how to skate?" Sunoo ran over, stopping in front of Sunghoon.
"Yeah. Could you teach all of us how to skate?" Jungwon added. Sunghoon's determination slipped a little.
"Are you sure? I don't know if I'll be any good" Sunghoon admitted. Heeseung carried his skates over, kneeling down in front of Sunghoon and putting them on for his brother, tying the laces up too.
"Um, the guards? So, I don't scratch the floor" Sunghoon pointed to the little plastic guards. ay handed them to Sunghoon. The youngest teen took a deep breath, stopping right before the ice.
"You can do it. We're right behind you" Heeseung promised him. Sunghoon nodded, took the guards off and stepped onto the ice, stumbling a little. Jake reached out to catch his arm but Sunghoon held up a hand to stop him. He grabbed tightly onto the wall and took another step.
"Niki, get some skates. You'll be a size four" Sunghoon waved his hand at his brothers, too focused on the ice to look at them. Niki ran off.
"You know his shoe size?" Jay sneered his nose a little. He didn't know any of his brothers' shoe sizes or any clothes size even.
"Duh" Sunghoon rolled his eyes. He let go of the wall and pushed off, doing a small spin. Niki ran back out and, with some help, got his skates on and joined his hyung on the ice, holding tightly to Sunghoon's hand for support.
"Your okay. I got you. Follow me" Sungoon demonstrated how to stay balanced while moving and Niki copied him, slowly getting the hang of it. Sunghoon showed him a few more tricks before the others, minus Heeseung and Jay, joined them on the ice. Ji-an stayed watching from off the ice.
"He's back" Ji-an stated, watching her brother proudly.
"Yeah. He is" Jay nodded, putting an arm around Ji-an. Heeseung did the same on the other side, his hand resting on Jay's shoulder. It was easier to do now since they were taller than their sister.
"Come on you three!" Sunghoon yelled, waving them over. Ji-an, Jay and Heeseung quickly joined them. Pretty soon, all eight siblings were laughing and having fun on the ice. Sunghoon stopped after almost an hour, watching his brothers and sister trip and fall and make circles around each other. That was the new beginning of his growing career and if he was asked later on, he always gave credit to his sister and brothers for being the reason that he got back on the ice.
