I stared at the sky motionless for a while. I kept thinking about what happened to my siblings. Did they really die? Did they really die because of me? Ha. Well that's fucking hilarious. I kept wondering until I heard the door of the mansion creek open. "Mill?" I bolted upright with my eyes wide open. Okay, it's just E.J. Since he's blind, he's gotta know if it's me. So I smiled in relief. "Hey. What's up?" E.J walked up to me and crouched down. "Nothing much. Although..." Great. There's an although. "...I heard you sort of..well? 'Throwing' flames outside. I know you did. ....h-how did you do that?" I chuckled softly and looked away. "Well, obviously I'm not human..." E.J looked at me with confusion. "Yeah, I get that, but...you've been acting strange lately. Jeff told me he can sense you being worried and frustrated..." He said, and nearly put his large hand on my knee. "...okay...here's the truth." I sighed. I got comfortable and looked at him seriously. You know, how they do it in movies. "I'm an heir. An heir of my Fire Kingdom. There are other kingdoms: Earth, Water and Air. My siblings and I look after each other in the Fire Kingdom, and as an heir to the throne, I have to complete my duty by traveling the world and learning new tactics."
"Our King was insane. All he wanted was gold, jewels and anything that had to do with money. He didn't really care about his citizens, except for his son, the prince. The king commanded me to kill my siblings if I wanted to become queen. I didn't want to do such a thing, especially to my siblings. But he commanded me, and what should be done should be done. One thing led to another...I was injuring my siblings. I never wanted to kill them, so I just left them weak and injured, therefore leaving them unseen... But....I'm not a bad person....I came here because I had nowhere to stay..... And..." I stopped, realizing that E.J was cold-locked staring at me. I looked around, and shrugged uncomfortably.
Finally E.J spoke up. "I...." I squeezed my eyes shut, expecting some mean answer. "....completely understand," he said. My eyes popped wide open. Is he fucking serious? Does he mean it? "..really?" I asked, just to be sure. "Yeah. You can stay here. We can teach you some cool fighting and killing moves, so you can kill that fucking insane king," he grunted. I giggled and hugged him. "Thanks..."
We both came inside the mansion to see bright and happy faces. Ann invited me to sit next to her at breakfast. We had some kind of raw fish, but that didn't matter. I mean, I love fish. So does everybody else. I chatted with some people and played with a friendly little girl named Sally. Angel watched me as I made more and more friends. She smiled, gripping her scythe strongly. Angel walked upstairs and locked herself in her room. As she put her deadly scythe against the wall, she looked around her room. "Same as always.." She sighed. Angel flopped down on her squishy waterbed and stared at the ceiling happily.
As E.J and I were about to finish a conversation, he smiled beneath his mask and leaned against the cold-gray refrigerator. "Wanna visit the C. D. I. ?" I stared at him in confusion. The hell? "What? What's the C. D. I.?" I asked curiously. E.J laughed. "The Corpse Disposal Industry. That's were they make the corpses into distraction objects. Like, we hang a dead body on the window so people could shit their pants. It's basically like a prank room," he smiled. I sighed. There are so many things in this mansion. I mean, so many rooms, too many tables, so many flights of stairs I could literally pass out on the first step. E.J held my hand and rushed into a room that said: C. D. I. Official. He opened the metal door to reveal a gigantic factory with bunches of machines, workers and...Angel. "Oh yeah. Angel likes to spend her time in here. Loves it," he smiled. We walked around a group of people who were laughing and putting body parts onto other parts. It was pretty confusing, but...kind of funny at the same time. E.J pointed at a large, fat gray corpse. "Go on. Make something!" He laughed. At first I looked at it with disgust, but then I easily ripped off his meaty leg. "Whoa, you're strong," he looked at the leg in surprise. I shrugged, smiling. "Eh. I'm pretty strong, I guess," I giggled. I tore off the left arm and stuck it to the leg. Surprisingly, they stuck like glue, since the blood almost dried up. I laughed. "This is fun!" I continued to stick random body parts (avoiding the genitals) onto one another and created....a shit blob. Yeah. That's it.
I turned around hearing a fit-bodied girl with ombré messy hair with a clock in her eye, wearing a dark gray jacket and boot-cut jeans who dropped next to me. "'Sup? You're new here," she smiled as she shook my hand. "I'm Clockwork. Nice to meet ya. Gotta say, you have stunning shoes," E.J skidded over to her and whispered in her ear. "Nice," Clockwork pushed him away as he laughed. "I-I'm Milli," I smiled slightly. Clockwork squinted at me curiously. "Hmmm....You're not really a Milli.. You're more of a Penelope. Or Cheryl. Hi, Cheryl," I looked at her in confusion. Umm...what the fuck? "Uh, my name's Milli," Clockwork shook her head. "Nope. Not really. You're a Cheryl," she shrugged. Okay, this girl is literally mentally disabled and shit. "Well, Cheryl, I'll havta leave you here. Nice meeting you!" The last words echoed as a rope pulled her up. I'll just have to let her get away with it. I gotta admit...I do like the name Cheryl.
