Anzu groaned as she rolled over to survey where she had slept after the party. She blinked to clear the sleep from her vision as her bedroom walls greeted her. She couldn't remember how she got there. She sat up and clutched her pounding head as the memory of her and Kenma on the roof and Kuroo pinning her to the wall flooded back to her. All she could do was groan and throw her body back to the bed as her heart went wild with attraction and confusion. She found her phone charging on her bedside table; checking the time, she saw it was afternoon with missed messages from Bokuto telling her they had left for the day and would catch up later. Anzu dragged herself from the comfort of her room to survey the damage from the party.

As Anzu made her way through the apartment, she took note of everyone asleep, keeping count so she could make enough breakfast for everyone. If her hangover was this bad, god knows how the others were feeling, especially Kuroo; he never could show restraint when having a good time. Anzu felt her heart heave as she thought of the rooster that she loved. How could she love him and then allow Kenma to put the moves on her like that? But damn, she loved him too! Anzu shook her head to stop her train of thought so she could focus on feeding the gaggle of volleyball boys that littered her living room.

Opening the fridge, Anzu began gathering ingredients for her hangover-cure breakfast; before she started cooking, she popped in her headphones and set her music on shuffle. She let the music take over as she got lost in cooking, at one point beginning to dance and mouth along with the lyrics. She enjoyed cooking for her friends; it was one of her love languages, and she knew they were too challenged to be allowed near a stove or over. The smell of bacon and eggs caused the boys to stir from their drunken sleep. Kuroo was the first to rise as he stretched from his position on the sofa. He yawned loudly as he scratched at his never ceasing bed head. After freshening up in the bathroom, he returned to the source of the delicious smell wafting through Anzu's apartment. He rounded the corner of the kitchen to the sight of Anzu at the stove stirring scrambled eggs, but what made him smile was not the food being prepared for him. It was Anzu dancing to the music that played through her headphones. The rooster leaned against the doorway, not wanting to disturb his favorite team manager as she cooked.

At that moment, he sent a quick thank you prayer for being the first to witness this moment that played out before him. He watched her sway her hips back and forth to the beat every once in a while, shaking her ass up and down to accentuate the beat as she continued to dance and cook. It wasn't until she went to do a spin that Anzu caught the rooster who had been watching. She stopped entirely as she shakily removed her headphones and looked down to avoid Kuroo seeing the red smattering her cheeks.

" You love scaring me, don't you, rooster?" she called to him as she looked up at him with a slight chuckle escaping her lips. "Not scaring you, pup, but I do enjoy watching you in your element," Kuroo responded honestly as he stroked her hair. Anzu cursed internally as she felt the shock of his touch. "You must still be drunk if you're acting this sappy," she said, taking the rooster's hand out of her hair, trying to fake her usual playfulness. She held her breath and searched his face for a sign that he had caught on to her facade. Kuroo threw his head back and laughed. "I know I don't know when to stop, but I didn't drink THAT much!" The rooster crowed, allowing Anzu to breathe normally again, knowing he hadn't caught on. "I'm making my favorite hangover breakfast for everyone! I've got scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, and apple pie French toast. Do you think I missed anything the boys would eat? I've also got a pot of coffee and some Advil," Anzu said as she worried she had made things they wouldn't eat. She didn't realize she was wringing her hands out until she felt Kuroo's callused hands wrap around hers to stop them. "The sounds delicious, pup; the guys love anything you cook. You know Yaku and Lev swear that nothing bad has ever come out of your kitchen," Kuroo calmly replied, trying his best to calm Anzu's anxiety.
