Ch.12

After the pair finished with their breakfast they parted ways to get ready for the day, Kuroo headed into the bathroom to shower as Anzu retreated to her room to get ready for the day. As Anzu made her way to her closet to pick out an outfit for the day she heard her phone ding, she quickly checked her notificatons to see a text from Akaashi.

Hey sweetpea wanna grab a coffee later and catch up? I miss you!💕

A smile crept across her face as she typed a response.

I miss my favorite pretty setter!!😩

Anzu set her phone down to return to her clothes, she settled on something casual and comfy since it was a chill day. She slipped on a pair of black bike shorts and a plain white crop top before turning to fix her hair in the mirror. Kuroo cracked her door open just as she finished throwing her hair up in a clip, "Come in roo", she called out signalling him to enter.  Kuroo flopped his body down onto Anzu's bed as he took in her prescence, he let out a low whistle " that's a good look on you pup. you should wear shit like this more often" the rooster crowed as he stared at his pup with bedroom eyes.  Kuroo chuckled at Anzu's immediate reaction to his words as her face covered in a deep blush. "K-Kuroo" was all Anzu could get out in her shocked state, "Yes pup? Come on use your words" Kuroo slyly said as he made his way toward the stunned girl. 
Anzu stumbled back into her dresser in a failed attempt to create space between her and the rooster, who was now looming over her. "You look so cute when you're flustered", Kuroo said barley above a whisper causing a chill to run up Anzu's spine. "What are you doing Roo?" Anzu asked nervously as she fiddled with her fingers. "Honestly pup, I don't know. Maybe I'm just trying to convey my feelings to you the only way I know how. You use your words and I use my actions", Kuroo said as he placed his head gently atop Anzu's. She let out a shakey sigh as she linked her and the roosters hand's together, gently playing with his fingers in a futile attempt to calm her raging heart. " Roo I think I understand" Anzu breathed out as she felt a small weight lift from her.
    The pair stood like that neither one daring to move or speak. The sound of rustling from the living room broke the spell that Kuroo and Anzu were under as they broke apart. "Sounds like the beast has risen" Kuroo chuckled as he anxiously rubbed the back of his neck, backing away to give Anzu space to move freely. 'I hope you remebered his red bull" Anzu chuckled as she exited the room to greet her sleepy puddin.
     Kenma let out a big yawn as he stretched out his tired limbs, taking in his surroundings as he set up on the sofa, taking note that he was now in Kuroo's usual spot. The setter blushed as he wrapped Kuroo's blanket around him tightly only for him to throw it down as Anzu entered into the living room. "Good morning Puddin pie" Anzu greeted him as she took a seat next to him, opening her arms for a hug. Kenma did not hesitate to except the offer of early morning snuggles from the girl he loved dearly. He burried his head in her shoulder as she covered them back up to fight the early morning chill, Kuroo took a moment to take in the scene in front of him as he leaned in the doorway. His heart swelled with love and the urge to protect the pair at all cost. He silently wished these morning sights never ended as he made his way over to join the cuddle party that was taking place. " Hey make room! I wanna cuddle toooo" Kuroo whined as he pulled back the blanket to scoot between his Puddin and his Pup. There were zero complaints from Kenam or Anzu when Kuroo wrapped both of them into his strong body, allowing them to be instantly warmed from his radiating heat.
Time seemed to stop as the trio laid tangeled on the sofa as Kuroo held Anzu and Kenma in his arms while they laid their head on each side of his chest, both being able to hear his thumping heart going a mile a minuet in his chest. Kenma closed his eyes as he breathed in the roosters scent fresh out of the shower and got lost in the rhythm of the circles he was tenderly rubing on his back just under the hem of his t-shirt. The setter felt his blush grow hotter the longer the rooster touched his skin, he couldn't help but shiver under Kuroo's touch. Kenma silently cursed himself for allowing his body to betray him during a time like this, he only hoped that the rooster would be too tired or oblivious to notice the change in his behavior. Unbeknownst to Kenma, the rooster was wide awake thanks to his interaction with Anzu before Kenma joined the land of living. Kuroo tried to hold in the chuckle as he felt Kenma shiver for the third time under his touch. He was almost in the clear until Anzu raised her head to meet his, "What are you laughing at, roo?" Anzu questioned curiously. Kuroo quickly looked down at Kenma to read his expression on the matter. He was met with the setter's deep blush as he flashed his eyes up to the rooster. Kuroo took note of the want that lingered in Kenma's eyes as his cheeks continued to deepen in color.
Kenma began to panic as Anzu spoke to Kuroo, he began to formulate some kind of plan to get him out of this unscathed. After meeting Kuroo's gaze Kenma decided to take the lead to minimalize the roosters chance to embarass him. "I caught a chill so roo decided to rub my back to try and warm me up", Kenma stated matter of factly, throwing Kuroo a look daring him to challange his explanation. Kuroo raised his hands in surrender as he nervously giggled, "Sorry puddin, I didn't want you to be cold. I got you a blue red bull, it should be nice and cold by now", Kuroo said as he pointed towards the kitchen.
As Kenma made his way toward his beloved red bull Anzu called out "Let me know if you're hungry for anything. I don't have much to do today so I can cook you whatever you want!", he turned and smiled at her "Thanks puppy luv, I may take you up on that. What do yall have to do today?" the setter questions as he cracked open his drink. "Well I've got some applications and admissions essays to work on, internship research, and Akaashi and I are meeting for coffee at some point", Anzu listed off trying to remember everything. Kenma turned to Kuroo waiting for his answer " Well I don't have much either, I picked up a shift at the rec center to help with their junior volleyball camp. I think I get out around 7", Kuroo responded. Kenma nodded as he thought for a moment, turning to Anzu "Hey puppy luv can I chill here until I need to steam? I won't bother you I promise" Kenma asked with puppy dog eyes at the girl. Anzu rose from Kuroo's grasp and walked towards the other boy. She cupped his face in her palm " Of course you can puddin pie, you know that both of you will always have a place here. No matter what", she spoke careingly while stroking his cheek. " T-T-Thanks Puppy Luv", the setter managed to stutter out after feeling their skin touch. Kenma took note of the feeling in his chest as he caught Kuroo's gaze from the sofa watching the two interact. Is that love, jealousy, or sadness in his eyes? Why is this kinda hot right now? Do I really want both of then?!?! Kenma thought to himself as anxiety set in. He hadn't realized that Anzu had long let his face go from her touch as she made her way to the kitchen until she called out to him, "Puddin Pie, you want me to make your favorite?" she questioned. Kenma could only nod in response because he was too stunned to speak.
