A place widely known in the Aryavart. Is it because of it's king or because or people's hospitality or because of the rich forests that attract others.
Ayodhya holds a significant role in the history of Arayvart. It attained its glory in treta yug.
Ayodhya was the birthplace of Lord Rama, the son of Dashratha and queen Kaushalya, the Seventh Avatar of Lord. Who later married Mata Sita, the princess of Videha kingdom, who is the Avatar of Mata Lakshmi.
Shantha eldest child of Dashratha was given to the king of Anga, Romampada as the king was childless. Latter she married Rishyasringa and continued to live in the forest near Anga.

The second eldest of Raghuvansh is Bharat, who is the son of King Dashrath and queen Kaikeyi. He married Devi Mandavi, the Princess of Videha, the incarnation of conch shell of Mata Lakshmi.
The twins Shatrughna and Lakshman are the sons of King Dashrath and Queen Sumitra.
Lakshman was close to Rama whereas Shatrughna was close to Bharat.
Lakshman is the incarnation of Sheshanag who married Devi Urmila, the sister of Mata Sita, the princess of Videha, the incarnation of Nagalakshmi.
