The man who was identified as the student of Guru Vashishta was shifted to another room after he lost his consciousness.
Next to him was Guru Vashishta, who looked at his former student with many emotions.
Happy.
That he met him after a long time.
Sad.
That he had to meet him like this, bruised and battered.
Angry.
At Karthi for being so reckless which ended him up in this situation.
Rage.
At the person responsible for his student's plight.
Anxious.
For the recovery of Karthi.
Fear.
For his student.
He observed Karthi for a few minutes and noticed that something was a miss. Then his eyes widened in realization and cursed under his breath, "Dammit Karthi!"
Seemed like both the brother and sister were hell bent on making him curse like a sailor.
A few hours ago...
The man now identified as Karthi was approaching the house of his Gurudev with conviction. He had to reach Isha before something nasty happened.
As a God he had to obey the ancient rules. One of the most important rule of Swarga is,
'Never interfere directly in the issues of mortal world.'
That's the reason for Lord Vishnu's several births in Bhulok. Even with his knowledge and powers Lord Vishnu can't change anything. The shackles of the ancient rules bound him, rendering him useless.
And Karthi is going to break that important rule.
He could feel his powers draining the moment he stepped on Bhulok. It was a warning for him.
Warning him to step back or face the consequences.
But did Karthi care? No he did not. The only thing mattered to him now was the well being of his Isha.
He was quite when that wretched Asurs tried to kidnap her. He was silent when he saw her fighting a unfair battle. He didn't act when his Isha was attacked by that damn Asur from behind.
The rage he felt when he saw the Asur attacking her from behind. Cowards. His mind screamed. Good for that Asur that he died an easy death. He wouldn't want to face Karthi after his deeds.
The entire Trilok who remember Isha also remembers the proctiveness of Karthi over her. And then there was Adithya who slitted throats of Isha's oppressors.
It was safe to say that Isha aka Niyathi was one of the most protected individual of the Trilok.
Even with all the layers of protection, Karthi lost his sister. His other half. His platonic soulmate.
He could clearly remember the day she got cursed. She sobbed against him pleading him do something. But he could do nothing but offer her solace.
What the use of being a God if he can't safeguard his sister?
His Isha took away piece of him with her after her departure leaving him half the man he was.
'Time heals all the wounds.'
It was never the case with the war god. The ache in his chest never receded instead it grew heavier, weighing him down.
Karthi is not a patient man but he waited patiently holding to the hope that one day his sister will come back to him.
