Niyathi's face reflected fear as she stared at the old man who knew her real identity. Her head hurted due to the questions swarming around her mind. She desperately seeked answers.
And the only one who could give her answers is the old man who is standing in front of her.
He looked at her with amusement yet you could see the slight concern behind his eyes. Not that Niyathi could see it in her current state.
But the question is, will she get answers for all her questions? Maybe yes. Maybe no.
Her sanity laid with the answers that the old man can give her.
She stuttered out in fear, "Wha-t nonsense are you talking about? I, a princess? A demigod? You must be delusional! I am just Agni."
She tried to deny the actual truth of her real identity. During her search for Guru she used her other name Agni so that she can easily blend with people, not that she can easily do it.
With a face like hers she isn't hard to miss. That's why she used to wear a scarf to cover her face. To protect her identity.
And most importantly to protect herself from the monsters that may devour her for her beauty.
Beauty can be a curse sometimes.
Her savior smirked seeing her deflecting his words, "Yeah. Your Agni as your the daughter of Agnidev. Your Isha as the God's named you after Ma Parvati. Your Chandhini because of your moon-lit face. Your Niyathi because you can change everyone's fate. You are Rajkumari Niyathi, Panchala's youngest princess, the spiritual daughter of Agnidev and the biological daughter of Panchala King Drupada. Yeah yeah, I know all that information kid, there's no point in denying the truth. "
Niyathi looked at him bewildered. Again the same question swarmed her mind. How did he know all these things?
The Panchala Rajkumari stuttered, "Ho-w did you--"
She was cut off by the old man who replied smugly, "So you accept the truth huh? Not only your an ungrateful brat but a liar too. Bad Agni. Oops! My bad, I am sorry Rajkumari Niyathi."
Niyathi gritted her teeth in annoyance, amd demanded, "Enough with the taunts! How the hell did you know all these information?"
The old man said grinning at her making her more angry, "Again, no cursing kid. I dont have to answer tou but seeing you I think you will lose your sanity if you don't get answers. Ain't I right kid?"
Niyathi glared at him angrily and said, "Stop calling me a kid! And yes I need answers!"
The old man replied, "You see kid, I can see everything and know everything. There is nothing in the world that can stop me from viewing someone's past and present."
'Except for someone.' He said in his mind.
Niyathi was now intrigued a bit she asked, "You can do what? Don't joke with me. If you can view both the present and past why not the future then?"
He replied, "I rarely joke around serious matter. And knowing the future is a terrible thing. That is a burden I don't wish to carry kid. God's had been kind enough to not give me that curse."
The atmosphere turned sombre. Niyathi looked at the old man trying to comprehend his words.
The old man looked atvher and said, "When I heard about the whispers of the children of Agnidev from Yagna, I was curious about you three. So, I observed the three of you. Your sister, brother and yourself. Out of three, you intrigued me the most. That's why I guess I know more about you than your siblings."
