Muruga panted hard as he deflected another attack of Jayanta. Never in his life he had felt this vulnerable.

He was weak.

He could feel his power draining slowly as the fight with Jayanta prolonged. He will be screwed up if his former friend got to know about his weakness.

And the important rule of fight is 'Never show any kind of weakness to your opponent.'

The son of Lord Shiva was trying hard to win this fight. This fight will determine the outcome of his sister's life and of mankind.

Right now, Lord Karthikeya is bearing a heavy burden.

Muruga gritted his teeth and pushed himself forward surprising Lord Jayanta and slashed his unprotected torso.

The wound didn't phase Jayanta as he continued to attack Muruga fiercely never giving him a chance to analyze his moves.

Jayanta has quite a few advantages over Karthikeya. One is Karthikeya's limited powers and strength which Jayanta didn't knew. Two Jayanta knew about Karthikeya's fighting techniques and moves very well which helped him a lot. And Jayanta learnt a thing or two from the Asurs too.

Clearly, this fight is in favour of Jayanta.

Nevertheless, the War God didn't lose hope. He was not named the second-in-command of Deva's Army nothing. At mere age of 17 he led an army of 30000 soldiers against Asuras and emerged victorious.

And in that very battle he slayed countless demons, the prominent being Tarakasura, Krowchaka, Simhamukha and Surapadma.

Indeed the son of Lord Rudra and Devi Mahakali.

Jayanta may have an upper hand in this fight in terms of strength and prowess but his intentions were not right.

Muruga's intention sided with the well-being being of his sister primarily and then the world.

History had taught us one thing, 'Dharma always prevails over Adharma in the end.'

Will the same happen in this duel?

The War God needed a strategy right now. His mind raced with possible ideas and strategies to defeat his former friend. And his Gurudeva's words rushed into his mind.

'Remember Karthi not every time brute strength wins. In a battle between wisdom and strength, more than often wisdom wins. Use it as your weapon when strength fails you Karthi.'

Karthi thought, 'I can't rely on my strength and defeat Jayanta. I have to plan something else. Come on Karthi! Think! What is his weakness?'

The son of Mahadeva formulated a plan in his mind and is ready to execute it. The only thing he needs is the right time.

He dodged another assault of Jayanta and kicked him in the chest, making him go staggering backwards.

Jayanta regained his composure and moved forwards to attack him again. Muruga who predicted his next move feigned dodging his sword and punched him hard on his right arm.

Jayanta gritted in pain but didn't lose his grip. He marched forward to attack him again but Karthi dodged again just to punch his dominant harm brutally.

Even when Jayanta left his vital areas unprotected, Karthikeya didn't attack him there. Instead he targeted his right arm viciously.

Jayanta who didn't realize that his former friend was targeting his sword arm particularly continued attacking him.
