Chapter 19

Soon after telling each other that we love each other, we fall asleep. I wake up to Liam standing up out of my arms and I pout then I sit up and look at him, "Hey you.." He smiles and looks at me, "Yes darling?" I smile and tackle hug him, "Are you ok?" He shrugs and holds me up by my butt wrapping my legs around his waist, "I had a good time last night." I smile and lay my head down on his chest, "I'm glad." He rubs my back. I slowly look up at him and jump off of him, "What is wrong?" He frowns, "Nothing is wrong." I scoff and sit on the bed, "I can tell something is wrong, tell me now or I will find out myself." He shrugs and sits beside me, "This can't last forever." I look over and him, "What can't?" He looks down at his lap, "Me and you." I feel like my whole world just came tumbling down as I stand up quickly. and nod then grab some of my clothes and start packing them into my bag. Liam walks up behind me and hugs my waist whispering, "Please stop." I shrug out of his arms and walk to the bathroom holding back all of my emotions, I grab my things and put them in the bag also. Liam sighs and sits on the counter beside me, "Please say something.." I look at up him tears in my eyes, "I'm sorry." I walk to my bag and put it on my shoulder then stand looking at him as he shakes his head, "For what?" I mumble, "For being here." I open the door and rush out leaving it open. I hear Liam yell for me as I keep going down the stairs all my emotions hitting me at once, I start crying hard and I slip on one of the steps. I scream as I fall down the three flights of steps. I close my eyes and I feel myself drifting out of consciousness. I feel someone grab me up in their arms and hold me close yelling my name. Liam. That's the last thing I remember before slipping into dark sleep. I wake up in a hospital bed and gasp sitting up quickly, I look around to find anyone or anything to help me breath because I am gasping for air. I look on the little remote and fumble with it then push the emergency button. I pull my knees up to my chest and lay my head between my legs but I'm still gasping for air. I feel my lungs running out of air and I fall back as four doctors come rushing in and put a breathing mask on me quickly. I close my eyes and breath into the mask, tears rolling down my face. I push the mask away a couple minutes later as the doctors leave and cry hard. I hold my face in my hands and let it all out, not able to control myself anymore. I hear a knock at the door and look up to see a doctor, "You have a visitor.." I nod and wipe off my face the tears still in my eyes and the doctor walks away and I look up to someone standing in the door. Liam. He slowly smiles at me then runs to the bed and tackle hugs me hard, his full body on me hugging me tightly. I don't know what to do so I just hug back and cry harder. He looks down at me and kisses me passionately, I kiss back softly and cry more laying my head in the crook of his neck, "I-I'm so sorry." I say as I hiccup from crying hard and cry more because the hiccups hurt. Liam lays beside me and hugs my waist running his hands through my hair. I look down at my leg and see that it's in a cast which makes me cry harder. Liam looks at me and shakes his head, "This isn't your fault." I slow my crying a little and shake my head, "How is it not my fault? I'm still alive." He sighs and rubs my side, "I love you." I sniffle and look at him tear still in my eyes, "If you love me then why don't you want to be with me?" He opens his mouth and then closes it looking down. I sit up and call for a doctor my throat aching at the words, "Yes ma'am?" The doctor says as he walks to the door, "I need to get out of here." I breath heavily as he nods, "You can leave anytime. Just fill out the paperwork." I look down at my arms and jerk out the IV then slowly stand up stumbling a little. Liam stands up and walks to my side offering to help me but grabbing my waist but I simply push him away. I hold on to anything I can just to walk to the door,!I walk to the door and breath heavily laying my head against it. My whole body is aching as I inhale and my body rushes with relief as I exhale. I close my eyes trying to catch my breath but start to collapse, Liam catches me from behind and yells for a doctor as I slip back into my cold, dark slumber.
