I couldn't find the words to say.
What was I suppose to say? I had no idea.

"Rosy! Why!?" He looked at me straight on. I took a deep breath and thought of my answer. Then I finally spoke.

"You don't understand Luke, and I can't explain it to you. But I will tell you one think. I love him." Once the words left my mouth Lukes eyes went dull and he removed his hands from beside my head and moves them to his side. He clenched them into and fist and I could tell he was trying to keep him temper.

"You love him? Ha. What a joke. You realize he's moved on right Rosalinda. The grass isn't always as green. The house is burned to ashes that you're no longer in between." He turned around and started to walk away. "You need to move on." And with that he leaves me alone once again.

I think of what he says and my eyes suddenly go wide at the memory..

The sound of passing cars
On the way to his house.
In the pouring rain.
On the side of the road.
In the light of the street.
His eyes meet mine before quickly brushing past me.
"You need to move on Rose."
Leaving me in the rain, the rain that was washing my tears way but not my pain.

I felt tears start to fill my eyes as I remember what happened so long ago.. The day I lost my best friend for what seems like forever. He told me to move on. But I couldn't. Or I thought I couldn't. For a while I felt so dead inside. He had moved on quicker than I thought. He forgot about me and soon I did. The same.

I clenched my fists as the tears fell from my face. If Luke wanted me to move on then I would. I would move on from him like I did so long ago. I wasn't going to let him make me suffer again. This time I was going to end up happy. Not broken.
