~eight weeks later~
Astrid's POV:
I couldn't believe it. I was pregnant. I couldn't believe that this one night with Hiccup was enough to get me pregnant. I texted Hiccup and called him hundreds of times, but there was no answer. We chatted a few weeks ago, and now nothing. We started a relationship and were so happy with each other.
I went to his home. There was no one. Through a window, I saw that all furniture was gone. Stoick and Hiccup obviously moved away. But why didn't he say anything? That day, I fell on my knees in front of his house, crying. Since that day, I promised myself never to fall in love with anyone again. When my parents found out about my pregnancy, they wanted me to abort the baby. But I couldn't. I still loved Hiccup, and this was the only thing I had left from him. But my parents were so angry and kicked me out of the house. Luckily, my uncle Finn had a restaurant, so I could work with him. He never had family. I was his only child. He loved me like his child, and I loved him like my dad, although I knew he never was. But sometimes, I just imagined he really was. Uncle Finn wasn't against me having a little baby. He was happy for me. Not like my parents.
~seven months later~
Astrid was at the labor. Of course, Finn was with her.
"Push, Astrid. You got this." Astrid just pushed further and screamed. But then, after she made the last push, she heard her little child screaming.
"You did a great job, Miss Astrid." One of the nurses said. Astrid just smiled at them.
"Here's your child. A beautiful girl." She said, giving her the baby.
"My child." Tears ran down her cheeks. Astrid kissed her daughter's forhead.
"Astrid. You did it." Finn kissed his niece's forhead and the baby's.
"How are you going to name her?" He asked.
"I don't know. Maybe Pauline. I'm mean, it's a cute name for a cute little girl." Astrid said with a bright smile on her lips.'I wished Hiccup would be here...'
The life with her daughter and her uncle was awesome. Two years, they lived happily until Finn died on cancer. He left Astrid his flat and his restaurant.
"Astrid. I want you two to be happy. I'm so happy I had a chance to meet Pauline. Thank you." His voice was weak.
"But, Uncle..." Astrid voice broke, and she cried beside him. He actually died. Why are the most important persons in her life just leaving? The only one she had left was Pauline.
Astrid stood up from the chair, kissed her uncle's forhead, his face was pale, and left his room. They were in the hospital. Pauline was in the waiting room.
"Mom." She called Astrid. Astrid picked her up and sat on a chair with Pauline in her lap.
"Mom? Is Uncle sleeping?" Astrid cried again. Just a little. But she cried.
"Yes, sweetheart. Uncle is sleeping." Pauline hugged her Mom.
"You are not going so soon, are you, Mom?"
"No, sweetie. I'm staying here to protect you." Astrid said with a sad smile.
